Coach house, Kington

Such a beautiful old quirky coach house with gorgeous views over the garden. Warm and cosy with electric storage heaters. We booked it originally for 4 adults and a baby, but in the end itwas just 3 adults and that felt comfortable.lovely helpful host.

The owners are very friendly, polite and discrete. A cottage is clean, comfortable, warm and inviting. We liked the courtesy, call before we arrived, warm rooms, a few home grown flowers in a vase, milk in the fridge and everything clean and tidy. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We enjoyed our holiday in Kington which is situated on the Welsh Borders. The Coach House is cosy and comfortable with views of the lovely garden and fields to the side. It is set back from the road behind the owners' property, so is relatively quiet. The owners themselves are friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. Lovely location, beautiful garden.

Lovely location, beautiful garden. The cottage was very well maintained and cosy, had all the equipment one would need but would have appreciated a few more basics on arrival i.e. enough toilet rolls, tea, coffee etc. Very friendly, helpful owners, would definitely recommend a stay there!

We booked here as it was near to the venue where we attended a wedding, we had a weeks break walking

We booked here as it was near to the venue where we attended a wedding, we had a weeks break walking in the surrounding countryside. Margaret, the owner, kindly agreed to us taking our two dogs. The garden is beautiful and a credit to the owners design and hard work. There was no side gate to the front access to the garden so it was impossible to let the dogs out in the garden alone. There is a fully fenced area at the top of the rear garden but dogs need to be accompanied there and back. The cottage is comfortable and pleasantly decorated and furnished, although a little dated. The kitchen and dining facilities are very small, it was adequate for we 3 but I would not want to cater for more there. We ate out apart from breakfast. The fridge and cooker are 1970s vintage, fridge very small with loose door on freezer section and poor control, we had frozen cucumber! There is no washing machine in the cottage although plumbing is provided for this where a freezer is positioned! Also a tumble dryer provided, these are in the entrance area. No dishwasher. We had a call the day before we were due to leave to say no towels were provided. Everything was very clean.

This was my third time in The Coach House as it's such a lovely spot to just run away for a quiet week. The garden is beautiful and Kington is perfectly located for lots of great places nearby. We had snow in April this time which was a surprise but the main part of the cottage was lovely and warm with a separate heater in the bathroom.
