We were looking for a dog friendly house in the middle of nowhere, to get ourselves lost in the Peak District for a week. As soon as we saw the pictures we knew this one was the one. We read the reviews and they were all lovely the only thing they stated was that wifi and phone reception was not brilliant. We expected no signal at all but there was a bit, and wifi worked reasonably well (not like for movie streaming but we could use messaging apps and check email a couple times). It is very easy to get there following the instructions given by the booking confirmation email, the roads are well kept no need for a 4x4 our little skoda made it all right. Buxton is less than 10min away and you can have anything you need from there. There is an enclosed garden for dogs to go outside (although maybe if they are high jumpers may be able to jump over the smaller wall). Once you get there the bungalow is immaculate clean, fully equipped and you have really everything you need to live there for a few days as if it was your own house. The heating works brilliant (we visited in November and actually had to turn it down a few times as it can get too hot). Plenty of walking and hiking from the door. Definitely a holiday to repeat for us. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A really lovely cosy bungalow, away from everyone, but excellent for dog walking.

A really lovely cosy bungalow, away from everyone, but excellent for dog walking. Well equipped, but didn’t use the dishwasher as you need 2 sets of crockery to enable you to do this. The bedding and towels were adequate, very clean and of good quality. Everything was clean clean and the bathroom was exceptional. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We had a great week away in this comfortable cottage with our two dogs.

We had a great week away in this comfortable cottage with our two dogs. The cottage is fitted out to a high standard with efficient heating and a fully enclosed garden for dogs. The setting is fairly remote whilst being only a short drive from Buxton, with plenty of walks from door and stunning views. Make sure you take an OS map with you as there are no instructions or maps of local walks in cottage. The WiFi signal was intermittent and no phone signal which is possibly a blessing for some and inconvenient for others. Walk from cottage to Hollinsclough and chrome hill a must. This was our first visit here.

This was our first visit here. The bungalow was very clean and well equipped. It was in a beautiful setting in the countryside miles from anywhere, perfect for a get away from it all holiday. Lots of lovely views over the surrounding hills and valleys. The TV reception wasn’t always great especially in the evening. There is an adjoining cottage which was only occupied for the last night of our stay and a very noisy group of boys arrived which unfortunately meant in the twin bedroom at the back you could hear a lot of talking and noise from them. We were glad they hadn’t been there all week. Apart from that I would recommend this cottage for a stay in the countryside. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We had an amazing weekend at the bungalow. It was perfect for us and the enclosed garden was excellent for our 2 little dogs who also had a fabulous time. I would reccommend the bungalow to any one but it is worth noting it is not for anyone who cant last without internet or mobile signal

The bungalow was immaculate when we arrived and the owners were very friendly. Our son was 15months at the time of our stay and there was everything we could need in the Bungalow. The location is very remote, but Buxton and all its amenities are a short car journey away. Our son particularly enjoyed sharing the garden with the local farm residents. I would recommend to any family looking for a peaceful holiday.

Excellent cottage.

Excellent cottage. We asked for the Super king size bed to be made up, but we had to do it ourselves. No Duvet cover, but was given a bottom sheet, and the underfloor heating had been turned of. They did give us extra logs for the wood burner, which soon warmed the place right through. The 2 sofa beds in the lounge are a little uncomfortable. But it was a very good holiday, and i would recommend this place and location to anyone. I would say that this place is only suitable for four people.

A warm, cosy bungalow with exceptional views.

A warm, cosy bungalow with exceptional views. Well equipped, clean & lovely bathroom. The only small point to make, could provide hooks for towels/dressing gowns on back of bathroom door & dining table a little large which obstructs the entrance door. Did not see the owner which was disappointing. Would definitely return!

Lovely remote location, nicely done kitchen and bathroom.

Lovely remote location, nicely done kitchen and bathroom. Gardens pics are deceiving not what I expected. unfortunately I requested zip link bed to be a super king but it wasn't. WiFi doesn’t work and tv hardly worked and we had superb weather. Lacking in the little touches and some essentials missing But Overall a nice stay.

Lovely little cottage, very well equipped and very comfortable beds/sofas! Very effective wood burne

Lovely little cottage, very well equipped and very comfortable beds/sofas! Very effective wood burner making it very cosy! However quite rural in location but very beautiful surroundings. Would be difficult with access in bad weather but luckily we had lovely weather. Unfortunately we were unable to connect to wifi the whole week despite numerous attempts to reset! No phone signal either so cut off entirely which isn't always a bad thing, however for me I needed contact with my parents due to their ill health so I spent a lot of time trying to get some connection at various areas around outside the cottage in the yard! If this is not an issue to you then it's perfect. Other half enjoyed some mountain biking, plenty of routes surrounding the cottage. Lovely area for walking and our little dog loved it!! Fully equipped kitchen with washing machine. Which was very useful. Not far to Buxton but quite off the beaten track to get there. All in all we had a lovely stay, and didn't want to leave! Would definitely recommend
