When you book something, you never really know what to expect.

When you book something, you never really know what to expect. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at just how clean and sanitised it felt given current climate. The house is a great size for 4 people in comfort but suspect it would have felt equally as comfortable for 6! The rooms are all of a good size and the view to Skiddaw from the main bedroom window has not been spoken about but it’s a real treat. Access to the town is about five minutes on foot and the parking spot is adequate. It’s tight and best to reverse down to make it easier. Parking on the road is first come first served and it was busy when we were there. Overall I would highly recommend this place and we would have no hesitation in coming back here again. Big thankyou to cleaning team for making us feel so safe. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely cottage.

Lovely cottage. Good value for the price, kitchen very well equipped, cooker very good. Kitchen a bit small. Excellent shower in the large main bathroom. Lovely to have area to sit out at the back. Some of the beds are rather firm - depends what you like. Floorboards creaky, and if you have some people getting up in the night to the loo, you can hear the bathroom fan and the taps being turned on. Otherwise a very nice cottage.

Everything you could wish for in a perefect location for a week’s holiday in Keswick.

Everything you could wish for in a perefect location for a week’s holiday in Keswick. Carthwaite was, on arrival clean and well equipped, the kitchen had everything needed including good cupboard space.. Seating and beds were comfortable, with ample storage for clothes, unlike some holiday lets there were plenty of pillows for all to have at least two per person. The only shortfall was a lack of sufficient coat hangers in wardrobes, a minimum of 6 per person would be ideal.
