Well equipped cottage.

Well equipped cottage. Spacious. In a quiet, secluded area. Weather was particularly grim whilst we stayed but we were nice & cosy with the log burner lit every day. There was plenty of logs provided by the owner. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Iona cottage is quaint, cosy, comfortable and clean.

Iona cottage is quaint, cosy, comfortable and clean. The wood burning fire is so cheery. We enjoyed watching the birds and cows and views of the Solway from the kitchen window. The deserted lanes make cycling and walking a joy. We enjoyed the Savings Museum up the road. The local people are all so friendly. Thoroughly recommend!

My husband and I spent a wonderful week in Iona cottage in May.

My husband and I spent a wonderful week in Iona cottage in May. We had wonderful weather for the whole week. The owner of the cottage, who lived next door was very helpful and she suggested various places to go and what to see in the area. There was a wonderful wood burner in the living room which runs the central heating and was very easy to operate. There was everything that we needed and I loved the walk-in- wardrobe in the bedroom. There was also plenty of books, games and DVD's to keep one occupied if needed

A bit away from nearest shops at Annan about 6/7 miles.

A bit away from nearest shops at Annan about 6/7 miles. Iona Cottage is an old Whin stone build and can be very cold in January/February. It's only heating is a solid fuel fire that gives off sufficient heat for the lounge! But does not have the capacity to heat the hall, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom/Sep toilet. (No mains gas) would benefit from a new solid fuel pumped driven system. Also the owner requests that you top up the electricity meter with £1 coins during your stay! We put 10 X £1coins in it for our 4 day stay to cover the electric hob/oven & shower which was used economically.
