Fabulous

My friend, dog and I had a wonderful stay. The property was spotless, exceptionally well equipped and had the most comfortable beds. Fizz made us feel so welcome and the homemade bread and other treats we found in the fridge on arrival were such a thoughtful touch. The local area has so many wonderful things to explore. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here.

A wonderful break in glorious country! We loved the Barn and hope to go again soon. Everything was done superbly and it was so comfortable. There are great Michelin plate restaurants in the area and one does very reasonable takeaway! Chatsworth House is on the doorstep along with great walking country. Lovely well equipped cottage in country location with great walks right from the cottage door.

Lovely well equipped cottage in country location with great walks right from the cottage door. Due to location - it is up a country track but this does mean that you get the lovely view and you will have to walk/drive to local amenities Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Beautiful converted barn. Modern, clean and comfortable. Best holiday cottage stayed at. Ideally located in pretty peaceful countryside for walks and on the doorstep for exploring Peak District by car. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is our 5th visit to The Barn.

This is our 5th visit to The Barn. It is just our favourite place. A real home from home, peaceful and quiet with amazing views. Great dog friendly pubs within walking distance and superb walks right on the doorstep. Cannot fault the property or the fantastic hosts. Fizz and Ross always make us welcome and our dog loves a good play with the owners dogs 😊 Thoroughly recommend 5 star accommodation

We loved our stay at The Barn, Grislow Field.

We loved our stay at The Barn, Grislow Field. The view from the rear outside terrace is stunning...beautiful fields, and hills with delightful dry stone walls, and the stunning local escarpment in the background. The barn was well furnished, with lovely comfortable beds, and everything you might need when away from home. We loved the welcome pack left by Fizz the owner....including a freshly baked loaf, with butter and milk in the fridge....The two bathrooms are spacious and modern with lovely showers. Neither are en-suite which was a bit disappointing but not of major concern. It was a real novelty having the owners 3 horses stabled adjacent to the barn - they were very friendly, and we often found them leaning over the wall from their paddock eating the grass in the garden! In my opinion, I’d say a car is essential if staying here, as the accommodation is off a main road, and up a fairly long track. We regularly stay in holiday cottages up and down the country, and felt that The Barn at Grislow Field was up there with the best! Highly recommended.

A beautiful and very well equipped cottage.

A beautiful and very well equipped cottage. Amongst the best we have stayed in. Stunning views of the local scenery from the door with walks on the doorstep. So many thoughtful extras provided for our arrival, delicious home made bread, a bottle of prosecco, tea, coffee, milk and butter. Fizz really does think about her guests needs. Very entertaining visits by Squiggles the most dog like cat we have ever met. I am sure we will return.

Such a relaxing places with beautiful views over the countryside.

Such a relaxing places with beautiful views over the countryside. We really didn't want to leave at the end. The cottage was so pretty. It had everything we needed and more. The setting was so lovely and just sitting outside looking over the countryside was so wonderful and peaceful too. Added to this was its proximity to Sightseeing in Derbyshire and the very helpful owner who was there if we needed her. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday.

We stayed at the cottage with my parents & we all had a lovely time, despite the miserable weather! We still managed to climb up those monster hills & could see right across to the Chatsworth estate. Fizz gave us a very warm welcome & the cottage had everything & more you could wish for, for a home from home stay. A lovely little welcome package of fresh bread & a bottle of prosecco was much appreciated. The local area is stunning with plenty of local cafes & pubs for some delicious food & drinks. We would love to come back again if you could guarantee some sunshine!

We had a lovely week at Grislow Barn despite the weather being very unkind! Barn is in a great location- five minutes in car to Baslow in one direction & Calver the other so good amenities within easy reach. Barn welcome pack was the best I’ve had- Prosecco, Bread, Butter and Jams & the fresh flowers on arrival were such a lovely touch. Comfortable beds, great showers and all the cooking equipment you could need. Fizz the owner was warm & friendly and we loved seeing her horses out in the field opposite the barn & being lucky enough to stroke them in their stables. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a spacious, comfortable, central base for exploring the Peak District.
