The cottage was great just what I needed.

The cottage was great just what I needed. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Sadly the weather wasn’t great. Unfortunately for personal reasons I had to cut my visit short but wouldn’t hesitate on recommending or rebooking in the future. My only reason for only scoring a nine for comfort was at six foot I did struggle at times in the bathroom and to a lesser degree in the bedroom. But purely a very minor thing. Over all very good. I've stayed in a lot of different accommodation over the years and Wheelwright cottage is without doubt the best I've ever stayed in. It's absolutely lovely. Felt comfortable in the cottage within minutes. Location for us was perfect, as everywhere we went was less than an hour away. Would have liked pub/shop within walking distance but it definitely didn't spoil our enjoyment of such a lovely place. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Was a little dissaponted that there was a big garden with lake advertised with kingfishers, herons etc,but when we arrived, the lake was filled in and covered with soil, assuming awaiting for grass seed to grow. Not the view we were hoping to sit out and photo.Would have appreciated a notification. We did however arrive to a cream tea, left for us,which was welcoming. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A very clean, comfortable and quiet cottage.

A very clean, comfortable and quiet cottage. The owners left us alone to enjoy a peaceful time which was much appreciated. The Devon cream tea waiting for us on arrival was such a welcome surprise.

The cottage was lovely, bed not very comfy.

The cottage was lovely, bed not very comfy. The description did not tell you the bedroom ceiling was low and sloped so we managed to bump our heads a few times. The owner was very pleasant. It was peaceful except for the tractors on the lane.
