Great Little village

Lovely property, no hassle with finding accommodation. Owner next door, so always on hand. Very friendly and chatty. Loved the position. Just if you have a large vehicle. May be a tight squeeze getting in and out, as village green spaces get filled quickly. Loved the location though

If you want to get away from it all, this is the place.

If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. A very quiet village with no shop or even street lights. There is a good pub a few doors away and the neighbours are lovely as are the owners. Make sure you take a few necessities like bread, milk, cooking oil, etc. as there is nothing provided, although they do leave a nice cake as a welcome present. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and there are lots of games and dvds for children and adults alike. There is just a shale driveway but there are tables and chairs to sit outside on the warm evenings. Ideally situated for York, Scarborough, Whitby and the moors. Super little cottage in a quaint village.

Super little cottage in a quaint village. Comfortable and has everything you would need to feel home from home. Ceilings are quite low, which is a feature of the property, but it's lovely to get outside and have a good stretch!! Owners very friendly and helpful. Amenities in the nearest local town of Pickering, which is a car/bus ride away. It's the perfect stop for touring around the Moors, visiting York and riding on the NYM Railway. We had a great holiday.

Charming, well located and equipped, comfortable cottage in a very pretty village with views across the village green. Ideally placed for exploring the area. Proprietors welcoming and friendly. A more attractive sitting out area would be a bonus.

The cottage is small, but is extremely cosy and comfortable.

The cottage is small, but is extremely cosy and comfortable. A chocolate cake was waiting for us in the kitchen, which was lovely. Everything was there that you would need and made for a really enjoyable stay. There is only a pub in the village, highly recommended, and you have to travel outside the village for a shop but there is full information in the cottage. The owners live next door but do not intrude at all. Highly recommended
