Perfect place if you want to get away from it all, but with the added bonus of being easy to get to the main towns and larger villages. The cottage is very well equipped and spacious. We had a fantastic break in this gorgeous barn conversion.

We had a fantastic break in this gorgeous barn conversion. The owners were very helpful and left their contact numbers in case of issues. The property was very clean and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. The hot tub was checked daily meaning we could use it for a short time every day without worrying that it would get dirty. Lovely location, close to Aberaeron for dinner out and a wander but away from it all for a bit of peace and quiet. Some beautiful beaches nearby too. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely Spacious well equipped cottage, very clean on arrival and the welcome pack was a fabulous touch, especially enjoyed the wine and cheese. Only downside was that we found the beds to be very uncomfortable, springs sticking up and the duvet set was rough, a plain cotton set would have been much more comfortable. A larger, more comfortable settee would also improve comfort within the cottage. The settee was not comfortable to lounge on at the end of a busy day. We are a family of 4 with 2 children age 6&8 and it seemed too small even for us. The kitchen was very well equipped however this meant there was little cupboard space for groceries, a larger fridge would also be beneficial, it’s fine for a weekend but not a week. Location: very quiet and private location, not over looked from other cottages, however nothing is within walking distance, pub and shop about a 5min drive but great for exploring the nearby areas, we visited Tresaith, aberaeron town, new quay and Aberporth, all lovely. Owners friendly and although we didn’t need to contact them we had their telephone numbers if needed. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We absolutely loved staying at this cottage.

We absolutely loved staying at this cottage. It’s a bit out of the way but that meant being surrounded by the most beautiful, peaceful scenery. The beaches nearby were fantastic and the coast was so unspoilt. The cottage is very comfortable and the hot tub was great fun! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Well presented cottage it has everything you need for a great stay. Plenty of towels and even robes. Spacious and modern and dog friendly. If I could give one suggestion as a party of 6 all different age groups it would have been good to have an additional TV in one of the bedrooms.

The barn conversion is located in a beautiful area surrounded by nothing but fields.

The barn conversion is located in a beautiful area surrounded by nothing but fields. We stayed in Beudy which is all on one level and was ideal for us with our dog. The property is spacious with two main bedrooms, a room with bunk beds and a kitchen/dining area. There is an en-suite bathroom/wet room to one main bedroom and a further bathroom with a shower over the bath. The kitchen was well equipped and the washer/dryer and dishwasher were very handy. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival too. Unfortunately there were many things broken or looking tired around the property. They included the shower screen in the separate bathroom did not fit properly onto the bath edge, the extractor fan did not work in the wet room, the outside front light did not work and had visibly been broken for some time. This caused us to be wondering about in the pitch black when taking our dog out at night as the torch supplied was useless. There was a broken, dog chewed dustpan and brush and the hairdryer only worked on full heat and power from the plug being on or off, the switch on the dryer was broken. They have replaced I presume a broken or missing dvd control with a new universal control but it wouldn’t link to the DVD player so you could only press the functions play or pause from the unit. The owners contact details were clearly available in the property guide for us to contact them about anything but in my eyes, these things should have been correct in the first place and we did not see the owners until 9am on our leaving day after our weeks stay. The most disappointing part for us was the condition of the back enclosed patio area. Although a hot tub was located here, it was an area you would not want to spend time in. There was a rather shabby, rusty and greened table and chairs and the state of the grey painted walls and the slabs were awful. As we’d seen, we were expecting little lights standing up along the wall, in reality we got there to broken (we presumed at one point solar lights) fallen down in an overgrown grassy mess. No pots, just a bare yard which desperately needs some TLC. With regards to the area, there is a petrol station and a good shop within a mile or so and excellent roads into Aberaeron, New Quay and Aberystwyth to name but a few. There is a field opposite good for children or dogs but the picnic table seemed to have been dumped for some reason right down in a grassy corner so we didn’t use it. When we booked the barn earlier this year, the rating was 5* which was then reduced to 4*. In our opinion, the property we stayed in is a nice 3*. The beautiful scenery and surrounding area could not be faulted.

Spacious property, kitchen well equipped quiet location with countryside views. You do need a car very narrow lanes. Hot tub great, WiFi not great. Great for dogs as patio is private and secure. Was better cottage out of the four.

Lovely welcome pack on arrival. Everything in kitchen you would need. Very private, we had a field behind us with some friendly cows which our 17 month grandson adored. Great for a family holiday but no where within walking distance.

We arrived on a lovely evening to find the cottage ready.

We arrived on a lovely evening to find the cottage ready. Easy access as a key safe holds the key. We were amazed at the size of the cottage. The rooms are all big and space is not a problem. We weren’t quite sure about the hot tub buttons, and a quick phone call saw Alan coming down in the morning to make sure we were happy with it. There was a lovely welcome on the table. A bottle of wine, savoury crackers (cheese in fridge), a pack of welsh cakes and some toffee waffles. We chose our bedroom, the one with the en suite shower room. There was a high level loo which was great (why put a low loo anywhere let alone in disabled toilets?) It makes life so much easier. The shower had a really good fold up seat, and access was especially good. The bed was really comfortable and the storage more than ample. There is a settee too. There is a door to the rear patio where the hot tub is. The other bedroom also as a king size bed, but the bathroom with bath and shower over is accross the hall, perhaps as it needs to be shared with a room with bunk beds. Again ample furniture and a settee. The living room has a 3 seater settee, 2 seater settee and bucket chair. TV is decent size and the DVD would have been essential had the weather not been 20 degrees (In February) The kitchen is as well equipped as most - just silly things extra would be good - like 2 spatulas to enable the turning of things without using a fork in non stick pan. Seriously instructions for using the hob would have been really helpful. It was like everything - easy when you know how ! We felt Beudy was the best of the 4 holiday lets - because it was on the end. Essentially it is all one level and so easy for access. You have your own parking space at the back. We sat out having breakfast on 6 of the 7 days. There is a patio at the front set high up and overlooking lovely open countryside. Red Kites are soaring above almost all the time. They come really close to the barns. The patio area at the back is really private with a further table and chairs beside that wonderful extra - the hot tub !!! We used it at least once every day and squeezed in an extra go whenever we could........So warm and relaxing - in February ! We even spent a couple of sessions in the dark looking up at the night sky. Its very dark skies and so lots of stars. There’s a bird feeder next to the tub with numerous birds and the neighbours are just sheep. The barns are in quite a central area. The Elan Valley is wonderful - you MUST go there ! Its about 45mins drive. The coast has many lovely little coves with pretty beaches. There’s a woodland nearby run by the community which is still wild to walk in. The Bretons are near enough for a day out, again 45mins to and hour. Llyn Brianne is spectaculour with a mountain road (the real deal) to get you there. Find the dam and theres a really great walk round the resevoir. (Don’t get on that mountain road in the dark or fog though). There are numerous towns like Lampeter to visit if you like shops - and there a lots of independents. I would recommend Beudy or one of its barn neighbours to anyone who likes a relaxing place to stay in the middle of nowhere but with masses to do right on the doorstep. There were walkers staying in 2 of the lets when we arrived, but it didn’t really seem like there was anyone there from a noise point of view. We would stay at Beudy again if we want to be in that area. One of the best lets we have stayed in. Alan came every day to check the hot tubs. He would always chat if we saw him, but was never intruding.
