Lovely place and owners! Very clean and beds were comfortable.

Lovely place and owners! Very clean and beds were comfortable. Kitchen well equipped for cooking, locally is one pub/restaurant, a village store and a bakery/cafe. Nearest Tesco is 40 mins drive into Oban. If you want somewhere quiet to relax this is the place, hot tub was great and covered in case of bad weather! Games room kept us entertained and the log burner was really cosy! Only thing was paying extra for electricity however our booking price was very reasonable so still worked out well! Such a long drive for us otherwise we would re book soon! We had a really lovely stay, thank you ☺️

We had an amazing 4 night break.

We had an amazing 4 night break. Absolutely loved this place and I would recommend. The hot tub was big and all jets and lights working. I would however recommend to take your dressing gown and slippers for going across to the hot tub. Lovely log burner the electricity is an extra cost but wasn't to expensive . There is a well thought out games room for anyone with teenagers . Beautiful walks in the area . The only negative for me was there was no freezer and it's quite remote so I would of struggled if I was there for a week . But all in all its a must visit from me . A nice little tea ,coffee , milk and biscuit wellcome pack . Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The cottage was very cosy and exceeded our expectations.

The cottage was very cosy and exceeded our expectations. The owners had thought of everything to ensure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. We didn't experience the log fire, but it must be a magical experience on cold winter days. The hot tub would be a welcome treat following a day walking the hills and lochs surrounding Ardfern. The scenery is truly spectacular, and we enjoyed plenty of days out exploring the beautiful landscape. Despite it raining on our first two days we had great fun playing table tennis in the games room, even though my batting technique was hopeless!! The games room is absolutely perfect for those dull days and will keep everyone entertained. The outside area was perfect for our dog who had great fun exploring the garden which reminded me of a wildlife area, complete with a brook. We enjoyed every moment of our holiday and look forward to returning again one day. Kirsty and Peter were perfect hosts, and made up for the disappointments of this challenging year. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable holiday. Kay, Graham and Meg xx Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Very friendly and helpful hosts. Cottage had everything needed for a comfortable and pleasant stay. The games room and hot tub meant we could enjoy staying in with the teenagers, whilst we also had some gorgeous places to visit quite close by. The walk from Ardfern to the Lord of the Isles is simply stunning. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Open plan living area was really nice, especially as had a wood burning stove. The grounds and hot tub was fab!. Beds really comfy, some furniture in bedrooms could maybe do with updating, along with the games room. Overall an excellent stay, owners really nice but not intrusive. Lovely area, highly recommend the local shop and Lucy’s coffee shop. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

My husband and I with our 2 teenage children have just returned after a fabulous week in Tigh A Vullin. The cottage is fantastic with everything we needed and with the added extra of having a fabulous games room which we all loved and the hot tub for us adults to relax in after lots of very long walks!! The village is beautiful and the villagers were all so friendly and always greeting us with a 'hello' or a wave which was extra special considering the situation of lockdown easing. The walks and scenery was breathtaking with lots of wildlife to photograph. Thank you to the owners Kirsty and Peter who were so friendly and welcoming we thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay and will most definitely be back soon. We had an amazing time staying at Tigh A Vullin, Kirsty was so welcoming and showed us where everything was when we first got there and also how to use the hot tub. Our little dog bailey had an amazing time with the huge back garden and the field round the pond. We will definitely be making this our November holiday every year going forward.

We had a fabulous 3 night stay.

We had a fabulous 3 night stay. The location of the cottage is peaceful but easy access to good stocked local shop and pub. The owner met us there and was lovely and friendly. The cottage was immaculately clean and the games room, hot tub and fishing was a fabulous addition. Would highly recommend - never stayed at a cottage where we have had to pay separately for electric before we leave (usually included in price of rental of cottage) but as long as you plan for this you ok

TIgh a Vullin is beautifully situated, well equiped and in lovely grounds.

TIgh a Vullin is beautifully situated, well equiped and in lovely grounds. THe gate by the stream opens onto a large field where the lake provides fishing, adding to the feeling of being right in the countryside, yet with all local amenities a few minutes' walk away. The hot tub and the barn with piano, table tennis, dart board, snooker table and table football were a fun addition, especially when the rain appeared briefly. Peter and Kirsty were most helpful and welcoming, especially when I realised that I needed a HUGE pan to cook the live lobsters I had just bought In the village (they were delicious!). The Galley of Lorne restaurant was empty when we arrived (mid October) so we ate one Sunday evening in the bar. The food was good and the local people were very welcoming. We had a great long weekend and hope to return.

Tigh A Vullin is a good place to stay with plenty of space and warmth.

Tigh A Vullin is a good place to stay with plenty of space and warmth. The log burner is very effective and it is good to have a local source of logs to use as well. The games room and hot tub were nice and provided something to do after long days exploring the area. The wifi isn't very fast out in the countryside so don't expect more than 2mb/s on a good day. Some mobile phone networks sem to work byut my plusnet mobile didnt work until we drove out into the village. Nice local pub which is dog friendly and the local village shop is handy for emergencies. A friendly welcome and some nice wine and chocolates to get us going. The shower is good. We stayed a week in September and we needed about £50 for fuel to pay on top.

Very comfortable accommodation with lovely rear garden where the hot tub and games room are located.

Very comfortable accommodation with lovely rear garden where the hot tub and games room are located. The owners Kirsty and Peter are at hand and were very helpful and friendly. The area of Ardfern was stunning with reasonable facilities, a village shop and a Hotel right by the shore. The village hall hosted a Pop up Vegan cafe a few days a week. A lovely marina on the doorstep ideal for boat trips. Great walk, not easy, to the other side of the pennisula to Croabh Haven for lunch at the Hotel there. The house was spotlessly clean and had good facilities. Oban is a 45 minute drive away and like most roads in the area are windy and up and down great concentration is needed. Only slight downside, my family got fed up with me mentioning it, was the size of the TV could be larger. I know that holidays are for getting away from the Telly but Wimbledon was on.

Nice cottage set in very lovely gardens with a sunken hot tub and a small loch containing some very large rainbow trout which is available for you to fish whilst staying at the cottage, I was fortunate enough to catch 3 of these big trout, smallest of which weighed 17.5lbs. All 3 were returned to the water for someone else to catch them again. There's also a games room which we used daily containing a table tennis table, table football, pool table an a darts board. Its within walking distance of the village shop and the local hotel, both of which are open daily. The hotel called The Galley of Lorne caters for both bar meals and restaurant meals, always best to book before hand at the weekend. We enjoyed traveling around the area admiring the fantastic scenery and the numerous small beaches hidden all over the place. We would recommend it as a great venue for a holiday and hope to return to Tigh AVullin again. Thanks Pete and Kirsty for a great holiday.

We were 2 couples, each with a dog so enjoyed easy access to longish walks with dogs (hose available for cleaning dogs before going back in house). Visited in March but weather ok and didn't keep us out of the hot tub. Marina and shore (not beach) is a short walk away. 2 min walk from cottage to Galley of Lorne Inn where there is an excellent chef. One of our number is a keen cook so we took our slow cooker and enjoyed home cooked meals some evenings. Friendly locals in Ardfern and a well stocked shop. Took ferry from Oban to Mull one day. Lots to do nearby, most of it closed in March but we knew this before booking and was reflected in price of cottage. £45 for electric for the week. We used wood-burning stove some evenings. If visiting again would do so April - Sept when more going on. However, rarely visit same place twice as so many other places to explore.
