This cottage was perfect for our needs, but also adhered to the Covid Stay Safe regulations - it was absolutely spotless. It had everything you needed - very much home from home. If you want somewhere remote (nearest pub is a mile away) this is perfect, but it’s also a ten minute drive to the main road (and Cornwall/Devon boarder) and a large supermarket. Our only advice for the owner would be to fit an electric car charge point as we think this would really add value and bring in a whole new market and clientele (there was at least a Tesla supercharger at least 15 or so mins away). We had a really lovey break.

We had a really lovey break.. Nice and quiet which was exactly what we were looking for so although there wasn't any local amenities within walking distances it didn't matter to us as we didn't need them.... Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The attractive cottage was in a very quiet rural area. A lovely place to unwind. Very cosy lounge; the beds were the most comfortable out of all our stays in cottages. Well equipped for cooking, but lacked storage space for groceries. (due to virus we took our own food). Very helpful and pleasant owners. Cosy log burner for the chilly evenings. Journey time 15 mins to Liskeard (excellent main line train direct to Penzance for a nice reasonably priced day out) and Launceston for shopping. An excellent location for Coast and Moors. I stayed at the cottage as a base to visit friends in the area and for them to visit me.

I stayed at the cottage as a base to visit friends in the area and for them to visit me. It proved perfect. It was October but so cosy especially with the log burner each evening!!! It was a very wet week but that didn't matter to me being with friends. I'm sure a family in Summer would enjoy all the outside has to offer. So close to many wonderful places. A peaceful haven at the end of the day. Just one little point, as this is lounge, dining area and kitchen combined a slightly more powerful extractor would be helpful, as cooking smells linger!!!

A lovely stay for the two of us and dog.

A lovely stay for the two of us and dog. The cottage certainly had everything you could need and was very comfortable. Quiet location with only the sound of owls at night. Great location for exploring Cornwall and Devon. Scones on arrival were much appreciated too. The only negative thing that I found, but wouldn’t put us off booking again was that the enclosed garden wasn’t secure due to the gate having at least a foot or more clearance under it. It just meant we didn’t sit out in the garden as much as we’d have liked. All in all though a great stay.

This cottage changed ownership just two months before our stay so the reviews which had helped us to select this were based on previous ownership. We felt that a few additional items would have made our stay more comfortable. However, we were pleased to find that wood for the wood burner was plentiful as this was one of the main reasons for choosing to stay here. Overall, we had a good week and the countryside location was fine for us. Although there is a pub just over a mile away, the lane is not safe to walk along. There are a couple of good farm shops within easy driving distance. Together with a handy M and S food it is relatively easy to cater in the cottage.
