Bramble Cottage is a deceptively spacious, semi-detached, single-storey cottage situated in the very heart of the popular seaside town of Leven, with the owner living next door. Built in 1900 as the local shop and post office, the cottage has under gone a full renovation to provide contemporary, good quality, self-catering, holiday accommodation suitable for a couple. If you would like to arrive at this lovely cottage with a bottle of whisky, prosecco or groceries waiting in the fridge, this can be supplied by prior arrangement with the owner, at cost.
Ideal for a seaside break, from your front door you are just minutes’ walk to the long sandy beach and promenade with great views over the Firth of Forth to the East Lothian coast. The promenade provides activities to suit all with amusement arcades, putting green, crazy golf, play areas, festival gardens park, Leven leisure pool and regular events including the Summer Prom Festival with live music. The local shops, cafés, bars and restaurants are all within a short walk. For guests who enjoy walking, Letham Glen and Silverburn offer woodland walks and the Fife Coastal Path passes through the town and is ideal for exploring the coast on foot, discovering the picturesque fishing villages and beautiful sandy beaches and coves.
A great location for golfers of all abilities with 3 courses within walking distance, including Leven Links Course, which is the qualifying course when the Open is played at St Andrews. There are numerous other excellent courses close by and the home of golf, St Andrews, is only 10 miles away. St Andrews make a great day out with excellent shopping facilities as well as good quality restaurants, pubs, bistros and an aquarium. There are many historic buildings to visit both the city centre and in the surrounding area, and a climb to the top of the tower of the medieval cathedral provides a super view of the area.There is a regular bus service to St Andrews just across the road and the local bus station provides services to Kirkcaldy and the surrounding towns. For those wanting to travel a little further afield, Dundee is only 22 miles and Edinburgh city centre is 36 miles. Beach 400 yards. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant 300 yards.
