Within walking distance is the hamlet of White Mill, where you can enjoy some home cooked food and a selection of locally brewed ales at the local pub. Locally, Brechfa Forest, famous for its vast array of outdoor activities, is on your doorstep, and expands to 18,000 acres of ancient and managed forestry on the western edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. South are the Cambrian Mountains, which provide walkers, mountain bikers and horse riders with beautifully scenic routes to explore. Brechfa Forest is becoming widely respected in mountain biking circles, with three trails all designed by Rowan Sorrell.
