Nestled within the Wye Valley, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, within the grounds of the owner’s home and with views of the open countryside, these holiday cottages (refs: UKC57 and UKC58) offer very comfortable accommodation from which to explore this wonderful location. Bordering England and South Wales and the three counties of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Monmouthshire, there is much to do and see, with such variety its sure to have something for everyone.
The Forest of Dean is a magical place in all seasons and has outdoor activities in abundance, such as mountain biking, cycle tracks for all abilities, kayaking, canoeing, climbing, horse riding and for the less energetic relaxing walks amongst wildlife, flora and fauna. Puzzlewood, which has been used as a film location in Dr Who, Star Wars and Merlin, and Go Ape with its zip wires and climbing adventures are popular attractions. Historical interests include the castles at Raglan, Goodrich, Chepstow and Caldicott, and Hereford Cathedral with its Mappa Mundi Centre. Chepstow Racecourse is within an easy drive. Enjoy the local pubs and restaurants, and an award-winning pub in Newland is just a short walk away. There are many markets and festivals in the surrounding areas to explore.
