Not actually a "dog friendly" property.

Not actually a "dog friendly" property. No garden and dogs not allowed on the furniture. Sofa is very uncomfortable. Other than that it is a lovely house and we really enjoyed it. Just thought others should be aware of it's misleading dog friendly status.

Lovely property and surrounding areas, nice touch having a cream tea waiting for you after a long travel, also nice to see other little things left like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and washing powder, close to lots of great places to walk, Q street coffee shop and the Chinese at the end of the road are a must, if your taking a dog with you I would recommend taking some sort of gate/fence for the 'courtyard' as this is almost part of next doors garden so easy for the dog to go wander into, I would also recommend taking a clothes horse as, although there is a washing line, its barely useable due to the plants and there's no where to dry anything if the weather is bad

Ideal base for touring, many places within a short drive.

Ideal base for touring, many places within a short drive. First week we had no trouble parking outside the house, unfortunately this was not the case on our second week. Luckily the pub opposite where we dined on occasions said we could use their car park. The free car park mentioned in the brochure was very busy with limited parking available. The shower in the bath had limited head room, I am six foot and had to duck to get under the shower rose. The combi boiler struggled with the low water pressure and had a tendency to cut out whilst showering.

Overall we had a lovely holiday, outside space was a problem with the dog.

Overall we had a lovely holiday, outside space was a problem with the dog. Lounge, the sofa was very uncomfortable. Bedroom, the bed was amazing. Bathroom, shower a bit low for taller people. Very clean and acceptable, log burner was lovely

We loved our stay at Duke st in Lostwithiel.

We loved our stay at Duke st in Lostwithiel. We were welcomed with a lovely cream tea and the cottage was beautifully kept and decorated. The little back yard was very cute but wasn't secure/separate from next door if you're bringing your dog. This didn't bother us though. The kitchen was really well decked out and we had everything we needed. There were plenty of logs for the fire and the bed was fantastically comfy. The only minor issue was that the sofa in the lounge was not very comfy for snuggling in front of the fire. We had a lovely visit and would definitely stay here again, highly recommended.
