There are scenic coastal walks, marked forest trails and various walks. Sailing, swimming, riding, fishing, golf, boat trips and watersports nearby. The Solway Coast has sandy beaches and rocky coves, with fishing villages and harbours. Close to the Galloway Forest Park, which was awarded ’Dark Sky Park’ status in 2009, and central to five of the 7 Stanes, it is a popular location for cyclists and mountain bikers. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
