About this property
Spacious Villa 15 mins from Geneva with Magnificient Views
Discounted for long stays (3 + months )
Charming 3 bedroom villa 10 minutes from Geneva in a gated community surrounded by a Golf Course on the border of Switzerland and France. The property features stunning views of Mont Saléve and Geneva City including the famous fountain. Ideally situated to explore Switzerland, France and Italy or relax at home on the large terrace.
A beautiful stone entrance gate leads up the driveway through manicured gardens and the greens to the villa. As soon as you step out of your car parked at the front of the home you feel the fresh air and expansive surrounds. On entering you will see open plan living areas with high ceilings, a large fully equipped kitchen, utility room and washroom. The dining table seats 8 and there is also a large outdoor setting on the terrace. Each room has built in heating for winter and shutters on the windows. The comfortable leather sofas are the perfect place to take in the view of Geneva. Upstairs you will find 3 spacious bedrooms with built in wardrobes, 2 bathrooms and plenty of storage. The next level is a TV room with Netflix, Apple TV and satellite with skylights looking to Mont Saléve. The villa has the tranquillity of a country home while being close to Geneva and the Airport.
EXPATS- Many people coming to Geneva for work end up living in one of the small French towns like Bossey across the border rather than in the city itself. This is mainly due to the extremely high cost of apartments, strict lease conditions and a lack of living space in Geneva.
The Neighbourhood and Activities
Shopping- The old cobblestone village has a gourmet food store, Bistrot Bossey, a beauty salon and historic church. The next village has a boulangerie for fresh bread and pastries, supermarket, cafes, bars, restaurants, hairdressers, butcher, banks and Sunday Markets.
The close by towns of Gaillard, Annemasse and Etrembières are excellent for hypermarkets and services. Geneva for chocolate shops, fashion and watches.
Nature- Hundreds of acres of green space with many hiking trails beginning at the Golf Course and taking you up the mountain or through villages. The area is known for its agriculture with fields of sunflowers and vineyards.
Culture- Highly recommended museums and art galleries- Patek Philippe, Red Cross, Palais des Nations, Musée d'art et d'historie, Natural History, Château de Voltaire, CERN
Swimming- Lake Geneva is crystal clear and perfect for taking a refreshing dip in summer.
Vitman Aqua Park has waterslides, pools, sports and leisure facilities.
Skiing or Summer hiking- Mont Salève cable car 2km away for restaurants, trails and panoramic views. *La Croisette, a small local ski run, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sledging, ski rental. *Les Brasses (40 mins drive), 30 km of downhill ski slopes and cross-country ski trails *Large Ski Resorts, Chamonix / Mont Blanc (60 mins), Megève (60mins) drive.
Movies in English/French, Cinéma Gaumont IMAX Archamps
Restaurants- Michelin star or casual French Bistros.
