Prachtig huis in een schitterende omgeving

Heerlijk in een prachtig huis, je moet geen hekel aan honden hebben en het zwembad mag wat opgeknapt worden maar de plek is prachtig en zoals gezegd het huis is grandioos

Peaceful location

This is a lovely finca, very clean, well equipped and nicely furnished and in it’s own grounds. Had lovely walks with our dog and very often accompanied by a lovely greyhound who must live nearby. The location is remote and very peaceful and relaxing. No Wi-Fi or English tv in the guest finca though so take plenty of books (there are also plenty of books in the finca) and make sure you shop before arriving. Large Carrefour in Palencia about 20 minute drive. Local town worth visiting and also has shops and a bar. Also check out the website as recommendations for local places to visit are excellent and a good alternative to the bigger cities. . Favourite was the Roman mosaics. Would recommend and definitely book again if we visit this area again

A supremely wonderful experience

The House is fantastic in the most glorious setting. The host was terrific and ensured everything was perfect for us. It is winter and temperatures as low as -6 but the house was beautifully warm and comfortable. She allowed us to stay with our dogs that loved the outdoors and the 50 hectares of the Finca. It really was amazing and I am looking forward to returning one day soon. Anyone who stays there I think will consider themselves to be very, very fortunate. There cannot be as many places as wonderful as this.

Tranquil Retreat in a Beautiful Setting

Using the Finca as a weekend retreat for friends to reconnect after a long COVID quaratine, Cristina has assembled a beautiful property in the Castilian plains. The rooms were tastefully decorated and the pool was refreshing on the hot June days. Please note that the Finca is isolated and there are not many tourist sites in Palencia (although I highly recommend the cathedral in Palencia which is relatively unknown even in Spain). Well worth the trip.

Exceptionnel

Nous avons passé 15 jours de bonheur dans cette magnifique propriété . Notre chien a adoré les grandes promenades tous les matins. La piscine superbe Je recommande vivement pour les amoureux de la nature et du calme. De préférence y passer quelques jours voire quelques semaines pour profiter de ce paradis

Todo perfecto

El alojamiento cumple ampliamente con las expectativas, es una casa muy agradable y acogedora. Ideal para viajar con perro. Nos han encantado el ventanal del salón a la finca. Cristina se encarga de cuidar todos los detalles, haciendo que tengas en la casa todo lo que necesitas y más. La finca es enorme y tiene diferentes caminos para recorrerla. En definitiva, un lugar al que volver.

Picture perfect.

Our stay in Cristina’s guest house was everything we had imagined and more! The house itself was fully equipped with all life’s essentials, a book shelf with every classic known to man, lots of space (excellent for families with kids) and the pool was picture perfect. Cristina was a wonderful host, so kind and caring, she showed us around her home which was an incredibly intimate walk through time, we were absolutely mesmerised by the art and furniture from her ancestors which she so incredibly maintains and restores. She even gave us her home made tomato chutney and honey which was so delicious. Our children loved saying their daily “Holas” to the chickens, donkey and dogs that live on the property. We even managed to squeeze in some day trips to Bilbao and to La Rioja for some wine tasting in the Basque region. For anyone that would like to stay in a tucked away cottage surrounded by fields of gold and yellow (so many incredible sunflowers growing like patchwork’s on a quilt) to rest in the calm and quiet of a small town (though Palencia is not far away for some shopping and wandering) this is the perfect getaway. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you Cristina for everything. X

Relax total y tranquilidad absoluta

Preciosa la casita pequeña con todo tipo de detalles y menaje. Amplia, luminosa y una finca para pasear y que corran los perros!!! Una piscina maravillosa y ganas de disfrutar de la slow life!!! Cristina ha estado super pendiente, y Alejandro el encargado también, encantadores !!! El poder viajar con dos perros grandes y encima que tengan tantísimo terreno para correr y jugar es insuperable!!! Volveremos seguro!!!! Gracias Cristina y Alejandro por vuestra atención y recomendaciones!!!

Un buen sitio para descansar ...

Ha sido un gran sitio para repetir. Cerca de madrid, tiene la tranquilidad necesaria para descansar. La finca en enorme para perderte con los paseos. La atención de la propietaria ha sido magnifica. La casa es estupenda y reúne todo lo necesario para una pareja. Magnifica decisión la elección.

Joy and Beauty in Palencia

Owner bent over backwards to assist us in or travel and dining arrangements. The accomodations are clean and lovely. Christina couldn't do enough for us! A very relaxing and beautiful experience. Highly recommended.

Maravilloso. Belleza, sensibilidad natural a un precio inbatible.

Acabo de llegar de un fin de semana en El Cercado celebrando mi cumpleaños junto a un grupo de casi 20 amigos que nos alojamos en El Cercado. Qué decir....creo nunca he estado en un sitio tan tan especial. Belleza y sensibilidad natural. Las habitaciones muy amplias con una serie de detalles que exceden lo esperable....muebles antiguos y con historia del lugar, telas maravillosas, todo enteramente reformado...el detalles de unos sabanas cosidas a mano....flores naturales de campo en todas las habitaciones....cuartos de baño en todas las habiaciones recien reformados y amplios. Resto de la casa....una cocina casera de campo grande con su gran mesa de trabajo antigua y preciosa, salon, comedor, capillita amorosa de no mas de unos metros....Todo decorado con muebles de familia y una librería muy escogida que inivita a quedarse alli en ese remanso de paz La cocina es unica....comida casera preparada con las especies de la finca, sus conservas, su miel producida alli mismo, la huerta....todo servido con sus manteles y vajillas caseras pero de una belleza !! todo es natural y sutil alli. No es lujo...es el gran lujo porque es historia esta casa y sus muebles....porque la comodidad es extrema en terminos de calefacción, limpieza instalaciones....porque es una belleza sutil acogedora. La dueña nos guio y consiguio que nos abrieran 3 iglesias del lugar, organos...acompañados por persona del pueblo, alcaldesa etc (y a pagar segun voluntad!!) también nos ofreció paseos por la finca que tiene 50 hectareas ....hicimos uno de 5km!!...visita a la bodega subterrranea de la casa que data de Torquemada.... Todo ello por 800 euros alojamiento en conjunto para los 18 que eramos....por debajo de 50 euros por persona!! se puede pedir mas. El cumpleaños mas bello y natural que he tenido Gracias gracias gracias

Idílico

La finca se encuentra en un bellísimo paraje. Hemos pasado el puente de Diciembre en familia y con mascota casi sin salir de la casa por el placer de su chimenea, su distribución sus vistas... Nos animamos a hacer excursiones para no desperdiciar toda la oferta de la zona, pero podíamos haber estado felices simplemente paseando por el terreno de El Cercado. Cristina es tan acogedora como su casa y las personas que la ayudan también. Ah y nuestro perro hizo muy buenas migas con Paco, el perro de la casa.

Fantástico fin de semana con amigos y niños

Fuimos del 28 al 30 de octubre un grupo de 10 adultos y 9 niños. Alquilamos la casa principal, que esta en perfecto estado y muy bien equipada. Es una lugar precioso y recibimos un trato estupendo por parte de la dueña, Cristina, así como por parte de Ludi y Alejandro, quienes nos enseñaron todo lo necesario para aprovechar nuestra estancia y sentirnos como en casa. Sin duda, un lugar al que volver.
