Enjoy your vacation sojourn in this newly-renovated home, a short walk to one of New England's most beautiful beaches. This cozy turn-of-the-last-century American Foursquare home is the perfect place to relax and spend time with family or friends.

The main floor features a fully-equipped eat-in kitchen with a granite-topped table for six and ceiling fan. Though there is no central air, Gloucester is surrounded by ocean and delightfully cool in the summer.

Spacious living room has a full-size couch, chair-and-a-half, and matching ottoman (in which are stored board games). TV and stereo system include Bluetooth and HDMI connectivity. Bring your computer or other devices for easy access to your music, movies, etc. Reading, playing board games, stargazing, and walking on the beach are preferred evening and rainy day entertainment. Cellular based Wi-Fi included!

Private fenced-in backyard, deck off of the living room with umbrella table for your morning coffee or evening supper.

Three private bedrooms on the second floor comfortably sleep 6 people (1 queen, 1 full, day bed that transforms into a queen). Full bath includes shower and tub. Towels, hair dryer, linens, pillows, and bedding are provided.

Half bathroom and washer and dryer are in the basement for your convenience. Clothesline in the backyard for hanging out towels and swimsuits to dry after a day or evening at the beach.

Walk to Little Good Harbor Beach in 10 minutes. Along the way you can pick up your coffee or picnic at Cape Ann Coffee and Stop & Shop right up the street. CVS is there for your sunscreen. Nearby are casual restaurants and walk-up ice cream shop.

Downtown Gloucester is walking/biking distance, with great shopping, dining and nightlife.

Wonderful Good Harbor Getaway

We really enjoyed the house! Plenty of space for a family of four and a great location, being very accessible to both Good harbor beach and downtown.

Nice vacation home with lots of little extras

We had a nice time staying here. We particularly appreciated the little extras - coffee, tea, condiments and spices in the kitchen, choice of cloth napkins or thick paper ones, large basket of beach towels by the door, a hose to rinse of sand in the back, different patterned towels so each person can tell their own. Warning: the half bath is down a flight of stairs, past the basement laundry and it has a very low ceiling (about 5'4") but you will need to use it since the only other bathroom is upstairs, shared with all three bedrooms.

Excellent Vacation Cottage

The cottage was clean and well suited for our needs. Other than making coffee we did no cooking there so cannot comment on the kitchen supplies. The deck was a great place to start the day with morning coffee and the location was convenient to the many wonderful restaurants in Gloucester, and it was close to our other relatives staying in Essex. The neighborhood was a wonderful place for taking leisurely walks that often included either the wonderful coffee shop or the ice cream stand. Should the occasion arise we would definitely return to this location.

Great Location!

We enjoyed our stay at Daniel and Carol's house. Choosing Gloucester was a good move for us, location-wise. This house was welcoming, very clean and warm. The pamphlets and literature on the area were very helpful. The house is close to many good restaurants. Our hosts have thought of many things to have on hand for families including lots of games and a doll house. We were very comfortable and felt safe in the neighborhood. Thank you Daniel and Carol.

We had an amazing family time and stay at this wonderful property. The home was excellent

Fantastic vacation at this Gloucester, Mass property. We enjoyed it very much. The honeymoon was loaded with just about everything needed to relax, sleep,make meals, entertainment etc. Cannot wait to stay here again next time we travel to New England!

lovely house!

My family and I enjoyed staying here in Gloucester. The house was well set up with all the kitchen, beach, living supplies we needed. There was even a lovely doll house that captivated my daughter the whole week. The trek to the beach was a bit further than my little one was comfortable with, but easily solved with a beach drop-off or stroller/wagon.

Great Gloucester vacation

All amenities provided, clean, lovely and picturesque home with fenced in yard in quiet neighborhood (but tight for traffic so leave the kid's bikes and scooters at home!). Lots of brochures and info about local attractions waiting for us on side table. Kid's games, toys and beach gear were a special bonus. Beautiful Good Harbor Beach a short drive (or walk) away.

Gloucester Vacation 2022

Very cute house in a quiet neighborhood. No cable TV, only streaming ability which was a bit confusing. Bathroom sink faucet/hot water was hard to turn on. Only able to use the washing machine, no dryer. Overall, the owner was extremely nice and helpful and we all had a wonderful time.

Wonderful getaway!

The house was so clean! My husband and I, along with my mom, sister, and aunt, had an amazing vacation. The property is a short 20 minute drive to Salem making it prime location if you want to take part in the seasonal activities. We had no trouble finding the house, and the neighbors were very friendly. 10/10 would rent this home again.

Nice location to explore Cape Ann

This is a clean and well stocked home in a quiet Gloucester neighborhood. Communication with owners was very easy. We enjoyed this rental as our home base to explore the Cape Ann area. We also enjoyed the walk to Good Harbor Beach.

Gloucester had it all !!!

Daniel, the owner and host made sure everything was perfect. The house contained every item you wanted or needed and even more. The beaches are vey close and beautiful and the food on the area exceeded our expectations. Our entire two week stay was outstanding!!

Wonderful location, has everything you meed

The house was perfect for my family including kids ages 7, 12, and 16. Especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, beach towels, sand toys and boogie boards. Beds were very comfy and the neighborhood is quiet. We hope we can return soon.

Great stay in Gloucester

We were in town to show off the area to friends and visit with family. This location is perfect for walking downtown and to Little Good Harbor Beach. The living space was larger than expected and the house was very clean and offered good amenities. The host was easy to communicate with and very responsive.

Great Beach Vacation!

Perfect spot for my family. The home was clean and well organized. Had all the things we didn’t have coming from across the country. Kitchen stuff, beach towels and toys. It was a perfect little walk to enjoy the beach. Had an amazing time so glad I found this place.

The house and location were perfect.

The house was so comfortable to hang out in and very well stocked with kitchen supplies, towels etc. Lovely outside space and super quiet street. It is an easy walk to the beach and local supermarket, and just a little longer to walk to town but very do-able!

Comfortable, clean home in a great location - close to downtown Gloucester and the beach.

The deck is great for enjoying time outside. The kitchen has everything you need and the labels on the drawers and cabinets were great for finding things and putting things back where they belong. Having the sheets and towels supplied was a great convenience. The house was very clean and well maintained.

Happy comfortable adults, kids wanted to stay!

We were so happy with our experience - from the easy communication with the owner to our very last minute in the house. The house was clean clean clean and comfortable. Lots of amenities - beach towels and toys; tons of bath towels, shampoo and conditioner; full kitchen, laundry and more. I put in the window fans to blow out warm air during the days and turned them to blow in cool air at night and everyone slept comfortably. The adults enjoyed the back porch, leaving the front porch for the kids to gather on. The neighborhood was a good area and quiet. Our kids were able to easily make the walk to the beach. We didn't walk to downtown but probably could have. Plenty to do in the area to keep us as busy as we wanted to be. This was our first experience having our families stay together and it was a winner. Much better than hotel rooms. We are busy figuring out our return visit.

We grew up in Chicago on the big lake. Living in New England we have raised our children to enjoy the ocean. Cape Ann has been our get-away destination. It is quaint, friendly, low-key, and easy to get to from the city.

Why they chose this property

We love the beach and we love Gloucester. We have spent vacation time through all seasons with our family at Good Harbor beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in New England. We always dreamed of owning a home near the ocean now we do. We put a lot of TLC into making this vacation home the relaxing and beautiful oasis that it is. We would love to open our home to you, so you too, can create many memories at Gloucester!

What makes this property unique

We live in a tiny condo in downtown Boston, with our only private outdoor space a fire escape. Our sons share a bedroom. We love the fact that our Gloucester home has both a front and back porch and three upstairs bedrooms. The house is a peaceful private get-away for us any time of year. When we walk through the front door, we immediately smile and relax.
