Terraced cottage in central Salcombe, sleeping six in two bedrooms and a sitting room.
5 Island Street is a three-storey townhouse located just a short walk away from Salcombe’s famous waterside, boutique shops and restaurants. Sleeping six guests in three bedrooms, this comfortable well-furnished house comprises of two bathrooms (one en suite), small sitting room, kitchen/dining room and large lounge on the third floor with access to a small private balcony. Parking permit provided for one car in the nearby long stay carpark about 5 minutes’ walk away. 5 Island Street is ideal for a family break in central Salcombe.
Amenities: Washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, electric oven with gas hob and extractor hood.
Easy level walking distance into town centre.
TV with Sky , DVD, hi-fi. Wifi. Telephone available.
Hot water and central heating by gas fired boiler.
Parking pass for one car is provided - for the long stay car park in Salcombe Additional on road parking is usually available nearby (subject to restrictions).
All bed linen and bath towels, duvets and pillows are supplied. You will need to bring your own beach towels and tea towels. Strictly No Smoking. From September 2024 the property will accept one well behaved dog
Region: Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
Town: Salcombe is a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts, walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea. There are several pretty beaches within a short distance, including North Sands and South Sands, plus the coves East Portlemouth on the opposite side of the estuary, just a short passenger ferry ride away. Also on your doorstep is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, coasteering, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe, take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking on the South West Coast path.
