Birthday Getaway

We booked on a whim for a quick visit to Tintangel for my sister's birthday. The accommodation we booked was absolutely lovely. It is very close to several tourist spots. We loved the peace and quiet in the evenings. There is a full kitchen which came in handy when making breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend this lovely refurbished barn.

Fantastic Property

We are just returning from a fantastic 3 day 2 night break away in North Cornwall. We stayed in The Milking Parlour, 2 bedrooms 1 bathroom. These newly converted barns are very well equipped and the barn has been tastefully renovated, new in June 2017. They have two further barns done also to a lovely specification with different layout. Bridget the owner was kind enough to let us view the other properties. We were left fresh scones, clotted cream, jam and milk on arrival. Very clean and tidy. Close by drive to Camelford. We visited Port Issac, Polzeath, Rock, Padstow and the local beach of Trebarwith Strand. We ate in The Masons Arms one night on the owners recommendation and we were not disappointed. I would not hesitate to book this accommodation again and would throughly recommend it to anyone thinking of doing so. We have a dog and they have a huge field by the accommodation which was fantastic for her in the mornings to stretch her legs. Well done Bridget and Tom for all your hard work. Kind Regards, Michael, Nina & Family plus Lottie the dog ( Worcester )

Absolutely perfect stay. Relaxing surroundings

We love Cornwall, this was absolutely ideal for all of us. Clean, fresh, bright and quiet. Perfect for dogs and contained outdoor space for young children. Hard to find as we have a small dog and usually finds cracks to sneak out of. We all said it's the type of place we could live :) had a small issue with the fridge freezing all our food but other than that it was faultless. Owners live on site and gave us scones, jam and cream upon arrival. We like to be left alone when we travel anywhere and this was certainly beyond expectations for the price we paid.

high quality conversion in a peaceful location

Family of 4 . Stayed 3 nights as part of West Country holiday . Very newly converted so loved the fresh, new construction and quality furnishing & fittings. Decent size upper level but lower bedroom & bathroom level felt a little caravan -like . Glad we had the Milking Palour of the 3 properties as the conversion retained far more Windows and gave natural light on what turned out to be a few overcast days 🙁 Quiet and secluded. Not easy to walk anywhere but Camelford was a decent base to visit other coastal villages we wanted to see ; Bude , Rock, Port Issac etc...

Wonderful and tranquil setting

Bridget and Tom have done a brilliant job on the Milking Parlour and it is a fabulous and cosy retreat, ideal for an escape from a busy day to day life. A real home from home. The cottage is fabulous throughout and finsished to a tremendous standard, well equipped and whilst modern still visibly complemented by the features of the original barn. Lovely cream tea on arrival too was a real bonus. Bridget also kindly showed us round Piglets which will be brilliant for a larger family or group looking to relax and catch up. Great job both, a place we are already looking to revisit later this year and one of the very best and most comfortable cottages we have stayed in anywhere. Loved it!!!!!!!!!

Top quality accommodation, in lovely area of the country.

Couldn't of wished for a better place to call home for five days. The barn is finished to very high standard with everything you could need including free wifi which was a massive relief to my daughter. The kitchen is very well equipped and the beds are very comfortable after a long day out and about. Oh, and the sun setting at Nearby Trebarwith Strand has to be seen. With ideally placed restaurant to enjoy evening meal. Thank you both and sure we will be back again.
