We decided to book a family trip for our adult children and grandchild that was far enough away from home but close enough that people could fit it in around work and other obligations. This house and location was perfect! Travel from Seattle was an hour and we felt so removed from the pressures of our daily lives. The house was amazing! We booked the entire house which had two complete living areas. We had a place for time together and a place for quiet time. HIGHLY recommend!
We have stayed here once before and again, we had a wonderful time. We love having 2 complete kitchens with everything we needed. Comfortable bedrooms and a hot tub to enjoy the sunrise and sunsets.
Event was cancelled. Host offered alternative dates even though I booked with no refund. Went on scheduled weekend anyway. Still very cool of him to offer.
My family and I had a wonderful time on our trip and our stay at your lovely home was definitely one of the highlights! The setting and property was lovely, and we hope to visit again, sooner rather than later. We look forward to longer trips! Two days
We are all from different areas & for 7 adults it was perfect! Only a short drive to see the tulips & to La Conor. Quiet peaceful & beautiful, a really lovely stay
We had such a great time with plenty of space for all of us. Food, game, presents, laughs, and love. Property was nice and quiet and the sunrise was so beautiful. Might just be our annual place to celebrate
We came for a memorial for the last of my family in rural Skagit Valley, visited all the areas along the river where we lived since the 30s, had Thanksgiving for 18, easily accomplished in the home, had great bird watching walks, including and eagle swooping down for a small snow goose- and 24 bird sightings in 4 hours. We fit nicely in the home, and found it so easy to cook we skipped going out!
Spent 5 days at the Guest House. Lovely house, with great amenities. Very comfortable beds, and beautiful kitchens. The view of Mount Baker is stunning, plus we had clear skies for the Perseid meteor shower. Jeff was a very attentive host. We loved our stay!!!
If anything the guesthouse is nicer than described! Gorgeous location, this group of Aussie had never since snow capped mountains like you can from the balcony. Jeff and Jess made themselves so available to answer any of our questions. They helped our stay in Washington be unforgettable
Me and some other bridesmaids stayed here the night before and after a wedding in a nearby location and this was perfect! Lots of room, great views, easy access and check in. Very clean! Definitely recommend booking here.
We had two families with four kids coming together for spring break and this space worked really well. Plenty of space to hang out when we wanted and to be apart when we needed.
We stayed here 2 years ago at Thanksgiving. The whole family came to be together with mom. She passed in January and we all came back for the memorial service. The Andersons are so easy to work with and the house is super functional. Lots of dishes, linens, blankets, etc. Great appliances, comfy beds, etc. I recommend this house for big groups.
We stayed here for an adult slumber party. The house was amazing! Every detail was taken care of by the owners. Gorgeous views, plenty of space to gather and play games, large hot tub, would definitely stay again!
From the moment we chose to rent this house till the moment we left, we enjoyed our time there. The house was roomy and was well equipped. Amazing views of the farm lands. Our host responded to my questions quickly and made sure we had a good experience.
Our party of 6 adults was very comfortable in this lovely location. The view across the fields to Mt. Baker was a great reason to get up! The mountain was out every day!
Lots to do in this Skagit area--golf, antique shops, casinos, and just touring through the interesting back roads. We really enjoyed the area. Thanks to the hosts for making it so easy!
I am a Mount Vernon resident and I hosted our annual High School Girls Reunion this year, which meant needing a home nearby that could sleep twelve ladies. We were all very happy to have found this gem, tucked away in a private little area of Mount Vernon. The owner was very responsive, home is clean, two kitchens, extra linens and a phenomenal view from the upstairs living room. My only suggestion would be to have the bush/tree at the end of the driveway trimmed; we were almost t-boned multiple times exiting the driveway. Simple fix and likely not even something the property owner is aware of.
Great place! Would stay again!
Everyone slept comfortably and there was plenty of room for our varied group. It was a little ways out of town, but the surrounding area was lovely and quiet (except for some early morning train whistles in the distance).
Excellent communication with the property owners. Clean rooms. Beautiful grounds with a good selection of well placed shrubs and flowers.

My wife Jessie and I were both raised in the Skagit Valley. We love the natural beauty of the area and are grateful to have so many family and friends that live nearby. We are honored for the opportunity to welcome new guests to our lovely Maplehurst Farm Guest House! We are happy to answer questions and serve as a guide to our valued clients.
Why they chose this property
We purchased the Maplehurst Farm Guest House in 2016 as an addition to our Maplehurst Farm venue, that we purchased in 2008, where we host special events. Our family resides in the historic mansion at our Maplehurst Farm venue property, and we have 6.25 acres total. We have 2 young daughters and a rescue pug named Ace and feel very lucky to work from home while raising them. We encourage you to stay at our Guest House and experience all that the majestic Skagit Valley has to offer visitors.
What makes this property unique
The Maplehurst Farm Guest House sits on 1.25 park-like acres, and features 3 large decks with stunning views of Mount Baker, the Skagit Valley hills and farmland, and the Skagit River Bank and trees. Eagles nest in the old growth cottonwood trees that line the riverbank, and we often see them sitting in their nests, trees and flying around the property. There are also owls, blue herron, snow geese, swans, and many other unique birds and animals that live in our neighborhood. The Skagit River dikes provide a lovely pathway for jogging, walking, biking and taking in views of the Skagit River and banks. We are just a few miles south of downtown Mount Vernon where there are many lovely shops, restaurants, and the Historic Lincoln Theater. We are just a few miles north of the town of Conway where there are several antique stores, pubs and farm stands. We are 1 hour north of Seattle, 35 minutes south of Bellingham, and 1 hour south of the Canadian border.
