Loved the Tiny Cabin

Overall, it was a great place and I highly recommend it. It would have been a solid 5 if it had WIFI and was a little cleaner. The place has a very rustic charm but there were somethings that were disappointing like needing to wash any dishes before we used them. My wife was like, “If the host is a guy, he’s probably the one who cleans this place…and decorates.” Again, loved it and would stay again.

Tiny cabin

We loved it. Peaceful and cold outside but cozy inside. The sauna is a plus and up to five pets is generous. Hiking right in back and the adjustable bed is great

Great little getaway

It was lovely to be backed right up to the National Forest with trails to wander. The space is very small, but wonderfully cozy. It was a great jumping off point for everything we wanted to go and do around Flag. The dishes/utensils needed to be thoroughly cleaned, but that was simple enough. I would advise adding a sharpener to the utensil drawer as all of the knives were dull. Also, a step by step instructional for that specific wood stove would be great. The general instructions are fine, but we opened the stove up to piles of burnt out matches and a couple of charred logs that were way too big to ignite. Loved our stay

Cute little cabin

Had a wonderful weekend at this cute, little cabin! We fit three adults, a 3 year old, and two dogs just fine. We spent most of the time outside searching for animals and hiking. The owner responded quickly to any questions and check in/check out was a breeze. Will definitely stay at this location again.

Nostalgic tiny cabin

Typical vintage build cabin, very nostalgic. Sauna was great but took a bit of babysitting to get it to warm up to temp. Just had to keep turning it back on. Only complaint due to having a dog...all the mowed down foxtail weeds which can embed in a fogs skin and cause seroius problems. Otherwise area was eonderful and full of wildlife

The Tiny Cabin is Big on Hospitality!!

You can tell as soon as you enter the cabin a great deal of thought and work has been put in by the hosts to ensure you enjoy this experience. Both my husband and I felt welcome. The location is fantastic as trails in the Coconino National Park are right outside the door. Our favorite part was sitting on front porch soaking in all nature has to offer.

Anniversary Trip

I think the views were beautiful. The wildlife was spectacular. We saw lots of elk. The cabin was smaller than I thought. I thought from the pictures it was a one bedroom. It was very warm inside when we arrived. I would suggest leaving the blinds closed so the sun is not heating the room up. It took a long time to cool it down. we did not use the sauna there was a dead rat in it. My husband disposed of it. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.

Awesome, Cozy and Cute!!

This Tiny House was just perfect! It was exactly as described with a super comfy bed, nice bathroom and shower and large kitchen. Its all ya need and a great front deck to view the stars at night and just relax with amazing views. Mahesh was great and very responsive in messaging. It was just outside of the cutest town and a short distance to the Grand Canyon. We took advantage of the amazing Sauna and went on a hike in the National Forest right behind the house. Hope to visit again and again!!

If you looking for the Ritz, stop in Sonoma, this is how it's listed . Quiet clean relaxing and all the amenities you need to get away . So close to Flagstaff but you feel miles away, it's what we were looking for.

Great little cabin

Cabin was close to town yet felt far away. Only disappointment was the cleaning lady was still there after our 4:00 check in. Cabin was clean and everything worked. My only complaint was all the dog poop left out back from previous guests

Awesome

The cabin was easy to find yet so private. The sauna was amazing. We had a private view of the forest. The road to the Grand Canyon was down the street making it so easy to travel up for the day. We had the most fun and can’t wait to come back in the winter!

About the host

Hosted by Mahesh

Host profile image
I am originally from Chicago but have lived in the Arcadia neighborhood since college. We enjoy hiking, biking, and snowshoeing the trails behind the cabins as well as snowboarding and cross country skiing at nearby Snowbowl Resort. Most of our free time over the last couple of years have been taken up on our renovation and hosting of @SaunaHausPhoenix, @AFrameFlagstaff, @TinyCabinFlagstaff, and @TinyCabinTucson using sustainable building practices, recycled materials, and no VOC plant based coatings. All three of us (including our dog Lily) have allergies so we try to keep the cabin as dust and allergen free as possible. It's rewarding to help bring families and friends together from all over the world to enjoy the wonders of Arizona and to share the living experience in our cabins. We also participate in OpenHomes which provides free emergency housing to people displaced by disasters as well the Living Wage Pledge for our team.

Why they chose this property

The property is a great mix of a peaceful rural area with great vistas but 10 minutes from the excitement of a vibrant mountain town and is one of the highest in the country at 7,000 feet in elevation. The summers are warm but not hot like the central Arizona desert. Be prepared for warm summer days (average high is 78 degrees) and chilly nights (average low is 42 degrees)

What makes this property unique

A very quiet secluded country setting with great views of the mountains and in the midst of the world’s largest Ponderosa Pine forest.
