About this property
Ocean Space is a stunning holiday home providing a totally unique experience.
Ocean Space is a stunning holiday home providing a totally unique experience that accommodates up to 6 people. The house is spread over 3 levels (each 65m2), with 2 double bedrooms / 3 bathrooms, a large open living area (with sofa bed) and an amazing roof terrace with ocean and mountain views.
Located in the north east of Lanzarote, Ocean Space is far off the well beaten tracks, in the small village of Punta Mujeres. The house is nestled in this traditional village, aside the pristine turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean and protected by the hills formed from the lava flows of Monte Corona, the biggest and oldest volcano on the island.
Ocean Space provides an experience that juxtaposes two worlds – one is a design for modern living, a unique concept in luxury space, the other is the environment cradling it – a beautiful environment, virtually unchanged over the centuries, where time appears to stand still. Together they sit in harmony to create an experience that is far from the ‘run of the mill’ holiday.
Ocean Space Lanzarote is in the present, the past and the future… a space by the ocean to recollect, reset, create and evolve.
“We know only too well that what we are doing is nothing more than a drop in the ocean. But if the drop were not there, the ocean would be missing something.”
― Mother Teresa

Why they chose this property
Ocean Space is unique, situated on the oceanfront in Punta Mujeres, there is no other property designed to such a high spec.
What makes this property unique
Punta Mujeres is a small (non tourist) village on the coast in the North of Lanzarote. It is very picturesque. Famous among locals for its natural swimming pools, sheltered from the open sea, spanning 2km of the coastline directly in front of Ocean Space. The only evidence of manmade development here is the discreet access steps and hand rails blending into the volcanic rock for those who do not want to take a leap into the crystal-clear waters. As if the pools were not enough to make it one of the most beautiful and unspoiled coastal villages, nature then added small sheltered sandy coves, gently caressed by turquoise waters.
Of all these pools, one of the most popular sits approx 100m from Ocean Space, much loved by the local children, also the adults, who relax at La Pascina, a local tapas bar overlooking the pool.
Although a very small village, Punta Mujeres has a surprising number of small supermarkets and a bakery, as well as local restaurants, all within an easy walk from Ocean Space.
Hidden from any commercial tourism and modern development, Punta Mujeres sits in a good location for the island’s best attractions. Most tourists unknowingly pass nearby on their way to the most widely visited tourist centres nearby, the Jameos del Agua and La Cueva del los Verdes (Green Caves).
Other must visit attractions nearby are the Cactus Garden, Mirador del Rio and Haria and the Valley of a Thousand Palms. Haria offers a Saturday morning local craft market which is well worth a visit even if you just sit and have a coffee and watch the hustle and bustle of the locals in this quaint plaza. César Manrique, the famous artist and architect, whose vision shaped much of Lanzarote, had a home and studio in Haria, now a museum to his life, work and legacy, Casa-Museo César Manrique is well worth a visit.
