An exceptionally spacious, three bedroomed townhouse situated in the heart of the ancient, historic town of Thetford. The house dates from the sixteenth century, with later Georgian additions. The property has a large reception room with open fireplace. A large, well equiped, kitchen/diner with American fridge/freezer and an impressive Georgian Bay window which overlooks the garden. There is original seventeeth century , oak panelling in the rear passageway. On the second floor there are two large bedrooms with built in wardrobes, one with a kingsize double bed the other with a single bed. A large family bathroom with roll top bath. On the top floor there is a double bedroom with ensuite shower room.

The house boasts a small enclosed garden at the rear with off street parking for two cars. Thetford is a vibrant community in the heart of the Brecks, whose importance in history spans from before the Bronze age though to the birth of Thomas Paine, in 1737,one of the founding fathers of global democracy, reputedly born in this very street. Thetford became home to Duleep Singh, the last Maharajah of the Punjab, who eventually settled in the area at Elveden Estate and whose son was a major benefactor to the region. More recent fame occurred though the Dads Army Tv series which was filmed in the town.
