About this property
Waterfront villa with SUPs - 2 bedroom villa on the island of Brac, Croatia
Harbour View is a beautiful two bedroom, 2 storey house that sleeps up to 6 people in the stunning bay of Bobovisca Na Moru on the island of Brac. The house is in the front row to the sea just a few steps from the beach and the incredibly clear waters of the bay. There are 2 stand-up paddleboards and kayaks at the house available for guest use so you can hit the water as soon as you arrive. The house has been renovated in recent years to a high standard and has a very large terrace for relaxing on.
This house was new to the market for Spring 2019 and had a very successful first season. It provides spacious, excellent quality accommodation for couples or families. On the ground floor there is a large open plan living/dining/kitchen area with all of the amenities required for preparing food and dining at home. There is a double sofa bed in the lounge area for extra sleeping accommodation and there is a new TV and wifi throughout the house. There is also a toilet on this floor.
The ground floor opens up onto a large terrace with different areas for dining and relaxing with high quality new furniture. The terrace looks straight on to the stunning blue water and is a wonderful place for watching the yachts coming in. There is an outside shower on the terrace for rinsing off after swimming in the sea. The terrace enjoys the sun all day but the sun is never directly shining into the house so it remains lovely and cool inside even in the height of summer. There is a barbecue for cooking out on the terrace.
Upstairs the bedrooms are accessed via an external staircase (in the typical Dalmation style) and there are 2 large bedrooms and 2 large bathrooms (1 ensuite) both with showers. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds that can be zipped together to form a second kingsize bed. Both bedrooms open on to a spacious balcony with a small table and chairs. The bedrooms have air-conditioning and all windows and doors have mosquito nets in place.
For families cots and high chairs are available but there are stone steps around the property so please take care if you have young children.
The house is close enough to the centre of the village for it to be a short 2 minute stroll to either of the restaurants, the local shop or the park.
Guests will have full access to the whole house during their stay. Unfortunately I don't live on Brac but I have a management company looking after the property and they are available at all times, day or night. They have an office right by the ferry dock in Supetar for key collection and they are also able to book trips and help with anything that you need while you are there. If you prefer I can arrange for keys to be left in a key box on the property.
Other things to note:
Parking is not available right at the house but there are a few parking places on the road nearby and plenty of parking in the village (all parking is free). Most people will prefer to park their car in the village car park and walk the 2-3 minutes along the water to the house (it is a beautiful stroll!). It is also possible to drive up to the house to drop off/collect bags and then return the car to the end of the road (it is a narrow road but wide enough for a car!).
Please note that the house itself is accessed via a few steps from the road so is not suitable for those who struggle with steps and it is not wheelchair accessible. It is possible to carry a pushchair up though.
Tourist taxes are payable on arrival in Croatia. This can be calculated and paid in advance when guest information is given in advance. This is currently not more than €1 per day per guest over 18 years.

About the host
Hosted by Claire Richardson

Business owner and mum to 2 energetic little boys. Based on the Suffolk coast. The house in Bobovisca is my happy place and as a family we try to spend as much time there as we can, it's much warmer for watersports than the North Sea!
Why they chose this property
First we fell in love with Croatia, then Brac and then Bobovisca na Moru and finally we were lucky enough to find the perfect waterfront property right by the swimming area and close to the village centre. The island of Brac is amazing - stunning stone fishing villages, olive groves, vineyards, wonderful seafood and beautiful clear water. Brac is also well known for cycling and watersports - some of our favourite things - and we make the most of these when we are there!
What makes this property unique
The bay of Bobovisca is one of the most sheltered bays in the whole area so it's ideal for safe swimming and watersports. The house is so close to the water that we can spend the whole day in and out of the water and have all the creature comforts of the house to hand for when the children get tired!
