Pecan Cabin Stay
The cabin was adequate. We were disappointed that the listing showed alpacas onsite and there weren't any. The home was clean with exception of the bathtub, which had a lot of brown ick in it. I sent a picture to the host and never got a response.

Nice location, but expensive for what you get
Let me start by saying the property that the cabin is located on is beautiful. Nice property with a playground and lots of shady trees. Owner was so sweet to show us where to go, because it was hard to find.
The cabin itself feels quite dated and a bit unclean to be completely honest. We found stray hairs in the bathroom and bed, and the bathtub was dirty. There were two TVs, but no cable or way to watch anything on them from what we could figure out.
The bed was comfortable, and the area was very peaceful. If the stay was half the price, we may have recommended it. For us though, the value just was not there.

Obsessed! Cant wait to return!
I really wasn't expecting much...however, I loved EVERYTHING about this stay.
The neighbors were friendly. The property manager did over and beyond to make sure we were comfortable (including bringing bug spray/ essentials late into the evening). The cabin was cozy and clean. And the cherry on top was walking to our favorite nearby winery.
If you don't stay here you are missing out. :)

Horrible Experience
This is probably the worst place I have ever stayed. It was misrepresented in the online listing. Overgrown shrubs, lock hard to access property, bathroom "door/accordion door" broken, showerhead drips(no water),sink hot water a slow stream, smells, bed had big gap in the middle, lots of light fixtures non existent, one washrag/ towel,no soap/body wash, dining room chairs broken/frayed,blinds broken, front door inside looked like a dog had chewed it. The pictures online were taken in 2018. Property owner offered me a glass of wine for all the issues.
No address was sent to us. Had to stop at winery to confirm location. Front porch was nasty with bird poop all over table and chairs. Employee came over from winery and blew off porch after we mentioned how dirty it was. Awful mattress. Commode didn’t flush. Same employee fixed it. Couldn’t get tv to work in bedroom. Accordion door going into bathroom was ripped from top to bottom. Very uncomfortable quarters. No character whatsoever. Had potential if cared for.

A family vacation we won't forget!
Everything about Mendelbaum Cabins surpassed my expectations from the moment we arrived. The property manager was highly responsive and the cabin was well equipped. My husband and I stayed there with our children (ages 4 and 6). As soon as we got up every morning, the kids ran to the playscape while my husband and I enjoyed coffee on the porch. At night, we roasted hot dogs and s'mores by the fire pit and stared up at the stars. It felt like we were far away from it all. (I also highly recommend you check out Mendelbaum Cellars (the winery adjacent). We got some excellent wine to enjoy during our stay.)
Our family enjoys outdoor activities and during our visit we spent a day at Pedernales State Park and a day at Enchanted Rock. The cabin was only 30 minutes from each, so it was a perfect location. It's also situated right along the wine trail within minutes of some of my favorite wineries. It was a great family vacation, but I also plan to return for a couples weekend with my hubby or enjoy a girls weekend. The cabins are suitable for any occasion. We can't wait to return!

Beautiful, peaceful, right in the wilderness
The property was well maintained and very well kept. The owners were amazingly kind and very attentive. The landscaping was beautiful and the cabin was extremely cozy. The experience was well worth it! I highly recommend visiting the South Grape Creek right by the cabins. It’s beyond words beautiful! I’ll definitely be back for my next vacation!

Well maintained cabins and property, we’ll be visiting again!
The property is absolutely (especially in the spring time when we visited!) and the small cabin we stayed in was very clean and the host was very welcoming.
The guests behind us were quite rowdy late into the night, but that isn’t any fault of the host.
I would appreciate an upgrade in the bed (it seems like a regular mattress on top of an air mattress instead of a traditional box spring?)but other than that, it’s a great value!
