Perfectly set up for a group of friends or families holidaying together, this imposing property is located near a rustic village, offers full A/C, 6 bedrooms, is furnished to a very high standard and will give you the ideal South of France holiday experience. It is also very comfortable for longer stays.
Villa Spencer is a magnificent character villa set in beautiful grounds with amazing views. The house is fully air-conditioned, offers 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and is finished to a very high standard both inside and out. It is located within walking distance of the village of Le Bar-sur-Loup that offers many amenities such as a grocery store, newsagent (with international papers), pharmacy, boulangerie/pâtisserie, restaurants, post office, etc.
On the ground floor there is a large high-ceiling living room with a fireplace, piano, and harp, and a dining room from which French windows open onto the terrace where you can enjoy the beautiful panoramic views. Next to the living area is a separate TV den, and on the other extremity of the room is a very well equipped, luxurious Lacanche kitchen with twin dishwasher and breakfast table. Also on the ground floor you will find a spacious double bedroom with ensuite bathroom facilities and direct access to the terrace. On this floor there is also a spacious office with a printer at your disposal with French windows onto a private garden.
On the first floor is the master bedroom with extra large double bed, ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet with safe. There is another double bedroom with ensuite shower room. There is also a delightful sun/reading/relaxing/yoga room with views overlooking the surrounding countryside. All rooms are beautifully furnished and have fantastic views.
On the garden level of the house are three additional bedrooms and one spacious bathroom. This part of the house is ideal for children or teenagers. There is also a lounge/games room on this level with lounge sofas and a television. This room plus two of the bedrooms open onto a covered terrace where you can relax or play table football. There's further entertainment such as table tennis, gym weights and accessories, Concept 2 rowing machine and a petanque court.
The spacious landscaped gardens offer a lovely holiday environment. You can enjoy the large heated saltwater pool with fountain and massage jets and the summer kitchen with BBQ, American fridge, toilet, and solar-powered shower. The garden is planted with many fruit trees such as fig, olive, mandarin, orange and kumquat. From the shaded outdoor dining area overlooking the pool terrace, you can enjoy the amazing views down the valley.
The property is accessed through private electronic gates and has ample parking for 5+ cars. Within easy reach of the property, there are beaches, lakes, canyons, rivers, as well as ancient hilltop villages, Cannes, Antibes, Nice and Grasse - the perfume capital.
Lastly, the villa is built on the estate of the Baron of Wykerslooth and in 1982 became the property of the Earl of Althorp, father of the late Princess Diana, who is thought to have spent holidays here.
