Stayed three days to get some work done on the boat, which by the way is only a block from the Beaufort Yacht Basin marina. The house is also a quick walk to Front st which is great after a long day of "dock work." You literally do not have to start your car once you are at the house if you do not want to. I really enjoyed my stay in the "Conch House." It was perfect
Perfect location. We were within walking distance of town center, restaurants and harbor. Lovely home which suited us well. Very nice restoration with modern kitchen . Good outdoor space with table for morning coffee and meals. We expect to return!
This house was very roomy downstairs and very nice and cool upstairs where the bed rooms are! This 1800's house has all the updates to make it comfortable in todays world but also the beautiful character and charm from that era. We had a great week and Chris was very easy to communicate with if we had any questions. We will return!

FAMILY SPRING BREAK
Beaufort, NC is awesome! We will be back, but will likely use a different vacation rental agent, agency, and property when we stay. We will likely not use VRBO again.

Very charming in a great location.. Walked to everything!! Clean, comfortable and spacious
Perfect couple of days to fall in love with Beaufort! David and Summer are warm and friendly and we enjoyed a lot of conversation out by the fire pit! We hope to stay there again soon!!
Location was phenomenal and overall we enjoyed our stay. We were a little disappointed with several superficial issues- the fitted sheet didn't fit the thick mattress so it didn't say in place, the kitchen needs glassware, more dishware and kitchen utensils. There are also several nails sticking up in the wood floors we had to keep keep walking around after stubbing our toes a few times. It seems like those should be fixed to avoid injuries/accidents and could be fixed without messing up the beautiful floors. We did appreciate the flexibility with check in/check out and easy communication.

Perfect getaway!
We were blessed to book this incredible suite for a 2 night getaway while all of our children were on other trips. David has perfected the art of being a host! The his and hers bicycles he provided were perfect for exploring Beaufort. The house is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The suite was very accommodating with a bathroom, kitchenette, bedroom, sitting room (with 55 inch satellite TV!), private entrance, and great wifi. I have no doubt that we will be back again!

Conch House Beaufort, NC
House is not suitable for more than 2 adults because of access to the upstairs bath through the secondary bedroom. Host submitted a damage claim for an ancient, rotted wooden boat. We never touched the boat that had a big hole in the bottom when we arrived. The boat has been sitting out in the weather for many years and was unusable and likely unrestorable.

Couple and their pup
We had an awesome, quick trip at the Conch House. While we were there only 1 night, we were very impressed with this VRBO. David was very welcoming and helpful. We chose this VRBO due to proximity to town/town docks. We were traveling by boat and this home was a short walk from the waterfront. Also, pet friendly was key. We were able to walk to dinner, drinks, etc. and have our dog tag along everywhere. The suite was extremely clean and charming. It included everything you would need for a longer stay as well (stovetop, small fridge, toaster oven, cups, utensils, etc.). We seriously have no recommendations for improvement. We felt right at home and will definitely be back!
Overall this is a beautiful place in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed our coffee on the front porch each morning. The owner was quick to respond to questions and check in was very easy. However the two things that drew me to the property were the back yard pergola and the bikes. Unfortunately the bikes were so rusty and one of the seats was in really bad shape. We didn’t ride them. All of the cushions had green mold on them from being left out. Also we cook a lot and had to go out and purchase a pot and strainer to do pasta. The kitchen is not stocked well at all with appropriate pots, pans dishes and silverware. No wine glasses. It was a challenge to say the least to cook breakfast and dinner which was frustrating. The master bedroom could use better lighting. There are several lamps but they don’t do the job. (Just my personal preference) One final thing that can’t be helped but was an issue is that the upstairs bathroom is connected to the second bedroom so you needed to go downstairs to use the bathroom if you are in the master bedroom. I think with just a little more attention to detail, this would be a wonderful place to spend your time.
The Conch house was very convenient to everything in Beaufort. The space was comfortable and fit all of our needs. We took full advantage of the back deck and spent a great deal of our evenings there. Keith was friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely stay again!!
We could not have asked for more regarding this property and the owners. The place was so quaint and the owners were terrific. Everything was an ease, from check in to check out. You can tell the Spence’s love the area and want their guests to enjoy the town! We would stay again
The cottage was everything we hoped for. It had beautiful wood floors, high ceilings and lovely gardens. In addition, it was very clean and in walking distance to downtown Beaufort.
And I can’t thank David and Summer enough for making us feel so welcome. They were wonderful hosts and helped make our trip memorable. We are definitely planning a return trip!
It was a step back in time in a charming historic home with high ceilings and beautiful wide plank floors; Southern hospitality abounds - a mix of the old and new (Keurig) was perfect. David was all one could hope for in a host whose priority was to ensure guests were treated special.

2nd Visit Just as Great as the 1st
David and Amy are wonderful animal loving hosts. Very welcoming and they even let us use their oven so we could take fresh zucchini bread to our daughter's Thanksgiving dinner. Very comfortable and clean suite within easy walking distance of town. We'll definitely be back.

Why they chose this property
This house is one block from my work and I fell in love with it the first moment I walked in. It was completely renovated in 2008 and immaculately furnished. The back deck and outdoor living area with immaculate gardens are brand new.
