We stayed in the ideal casita away from the street. There were nice gathering areas all around the grounds. There was quite a bit of fast loud traffic on the small street (likely due to the event we stayed for-the ring of fire eclipse). Traffic was sparse by 9-10pm. We felt safe and were very pleased that our “little girl” (small dog) was welcomed!!! Stores and fast food restaurants are convenient to get to but far enough away that we felt secluded. Overall a pleasant stay! Thank you!
Very cute cabins! I paid extra for private river access but that wasn't necessary...all the cabins had equal access. The road to cross to the river is somewhat dangerous! But the area was beautiful and we'll be back!
Everything was just as advertised...enjoyed the access to the river. Very peaceful area but close enough to Ingram. We would reccomend this spot to others looking to just relax
All the fun parts of camping, but with AC and WiFi
This property was a great location for a very reasonable price. Though it's a "tiny house experience," it was plenty of room for two adults and two young kids (under age 10), similar to staying in a hotel room with a small kitchen. We liked there was a small porch with a grill and firepit, perfect for roasting marshmallows. The property provided tons of extra equipment for playing in the river, which was a huge plus. We had our choice of kayaks (with life jackets), canoes, inflatables and pool noodles to use, plus my kids loved the rope swing and swimming area with little waterfalls where they rearranged rocks for hours. You do have to cross a two-lane road to get to the river, but traffic wasn't unreasonably heavy. We did find that the sheets on the queen foldaway couch had not been changed when we were getting ready for bed the first night, but luckily found an extra set in the room and swapped them out quickly (and property management was apologetic and provided replacements the next day). Overall this was a fantastic trip and had all the fun parts of camping on the river, except you can sleep in a real bed and enjoy air conditioning and WiFi when you are done.
This loft is tiny and a great choice for a quick getaway. It was clean, affordable, and the location is directly across the street from the beautiful and calm Guadalupe River. I loved that we could use the canoes and kayaks for free. That made our experience at Casita Blue all worth it. We we’re looking for something a little more romantic though. A few things to point out: the hot water in the shower took forever to heat up and it didn’t drain properly. We were afraid we were going to flood the bathroom so had to take fast showers. The shower head only has one speed and it was a little too strong. Not relaxing at all. We tried to cook on the grill but couldn’t turn on the gas for some reason. The kitchen was under stocked and couldn’t grill on the stove either. Overall, this little spot is good. It could use some minor tweaks.
Nice cabins in a pleasance area across a busy street from the river. You cannot see the river from Cabin 6, but it does lookout to a giant field of grass. A few local restaurants within 20 min with bars and live music.
Our family stayed for two nights. Had a wonderful time. We had one hiccup but Brian accommodated us to fix the issue. He answered my text quickly and fixed our problem. No place is perfect and we appreciated Very much how Brian handled the issue. We will definitely be back!!!! If you’re looking for a great getaway on the river- this is it!
Casita Blu was so peaceful. The cabin was perfect, ac running, small kitchen to cook meals and the fire pit is right outside! The River a street away and was perfect temperature to float. The only cons from our stay was that we could here the cars passing by, and cabin 6 is not facing the river (but pretty darn close) thank you for this wonderful experience!

We enjoyed our stay in cabin 6. We were worried about the cabins being so close but it was very quiet and peaceful. The river was so pretty but too cold to get in . A relaxing weekend is just what we needed!
We were in cabin 6 - it was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed BBQing in the front and light a fire in the fire pit and sitting outside to enjoy the peaceful outdoors. We were able to use a canoe the host provides and enjoy a ride on the river. Cabins are close to town to enjoy going out to eat and grocery store isn't far either. Brian our host was very accommodating.
I was met as I pulled up. Brian was helpful, kind and you could tell that a lot of thought went into refurbishing these little cabins. Walk across the road and the beautiful Guadalupe River, There was a rope swing, easy river access and picnic tables. Just great!!!

Loved the views the drive ffom Fredericksburg is pretty
Had a lot of fun on the river as the cabin was probably only 75yds from it. Great private picnic area on the river bank too. The cabin was functionally cozy and the AC worked great. Bed was very comfortable as was the sofa sleeper. This cabin had everything we needed for the weekend. There are 6 cabins on the property so you’re not isolated per se, but everyone was quiet and respectful. We will definitely return.

Brian was an amazing host and the cabin had everything we needed. It was the coldest weekend in the season and he had the cabin so cozy and warm for us when we got there. I would recommend this spot to anyone and everyone. The area was beautiful and so peaceful. We will definitely be back!
This property was operated as Camp Sylvan from the late 1920's till late 1960's. The site is peaceful with the river easily accessed across the Hwy and has 350 ft of private river frontage for guest use.
