About this property

Charming Victorian Cottage in town centre

Isabella is the perfect place to stay, just a short walk from the cafes and attractions in Kyneton’s main street and base to explore the Macedon Ranges and Spa country. The house was built in the 1890s and still has its original charm, but it also has all the modern comforts you need for a relaxing stay. It has a 4 Star Self Contained Rating, Sustainable Tourism and Quality Tourism Accreditations.
As soon as you step through the front gate, you’ll be greeted by a beautiful garden full of old-fashioned roses and lavender. The front door opens to original polished floorboards and twelve-foot high ceilings that will make you feel right at home. Isabella has been beautifully decorated to show off its period features, but it’s also comfortable with modern amenities such as reverse cycle heating and cooling and a character filled gas coal fire in the lounge.
We’ve made sure Isabella has everything you need for a great stay. There’s a flat screen TV, DVD player, free NBN Wi-Fi, board games, and a selection of books in the library. Our three bedrooms can sleep up to six people and have two queen and two single beds. We take great care selecting our beds, doonas and the linens because we know how important they are for a good night’s sleep. . Electric blankets are a bonus in winter.
Isabella also has a modern, well-equipped kitchen with a generous quantity of breakfast provisions and a variety of pantry items and we can cater for special dietary needs. We have a shower, bath, two toilets, a laundry with a washer and dryer, and a Weber Q gas BBQ with an outdoor eating area.
Whether you’re relaxing on the cozy club sofa with a glass of wine or enjoying a delicious meal outdoors over the BBQ as the sun sets, you’ll leave Isabella feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
Minimum two nights, sleeps up to six persons. Non Smoking House. No pets permitted. Tariff based on each two persons sharing one bedroom either queen or twin. Additional rooms can be used at an extra charge. From 1/1/25 Victorian Government Accommodation Tax of 7.5% is included in the tariff.

Everything we could ask for and more!

My sisters and I had a wonderful stay at Isabelle. All our needs were taken care of and there were lots of lovely extras like the homemade jams and delicious breakfast provisions. The property manager was a delight to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage itself is perfectly situated in the heart of Kyneton. Highly recommended!

Beautiful property with great added touches

Great communication (even calling to ask what we wanted for breakfast), easy check-in, clean and well presented property that was very comfortable and right within walking distance of everything. We really appreciated the extra touches and attention to detail, including things like teapot with tea cosy, focus on minimising waste (including food scrap bin), towel stands in each bedroom (to avoid towel mix ups with multiple guests), toiletries provided, Bluetooth music speaker, helpful labels on where to find (and how to use) things. We also really enjoyed the cosy living room with easy to use gas log fire. Would highly recommend this property to all!

A delightful and very comfortable cottage for 6. Homely feel with lots of additional comforts and little touches. We especially appreciated the extensive provisions -breads, milk, cereals, eggs, bacon, butter and fruit. Although a rented holiday cottage, from the minute you arrive Isabella's makes you feel warmly welcomed and certainly a home away from home. Also, a quiet little street but only a 1 minute walk into Kyneton's main street.

We had a lovely time staying at Isabella. The cottage itself was comfortable, charming and welcoming, and the kitchen was very thoroughly stocked with a wide variety of breakfast options, condiments, chocolates etc. The welcome pack we received by post before our arrival was very useful in helping us to plan our weekend visits to restaurants and local attractions. We had everything we needed and felt very looked after. Isabella was the perfect home-away-from-home for a relaxing weekend in Kyneton.

On my recent stay as Isabellas cottage: Perfect position close in town. Generously appointed, very comfortable, with a hostess who communicates well, and is a delight to deal with. Kyneton is a lovely weekend retreat, and I would be delighted to rendezvous there again with friends and family. Many thanks for the visit!Ruth from Warrnambool

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was welcoming, which we really needed as it was very cold and wet on the Saturday. The food in Kyneton is great. Although the cottage is well located, if you don't want to walk to the Piper Street eateries, we fould the local taxi service friendly, efficient and about an $8 trip each way.

This property is amazing. It is a home away from home. The rooms are spacious, the yard is great for kids and entertaining, and the breakfast provisions - there were too many choices, I wished we'd stayed longer to try everything. The house had everything, even shoe polish! We loved the location, it was easy walking to anywhere in the township. We would definately stay there again.
