Needing maintenance
While this property has a lot of potential we encounted a lot of problems. After booking the house the owners changed the bedding situation without telling us. We were told this was due to legislation but i assume extra isurance was not wanted to be paid. This did not leave us enough time to find another home to suit our needs.We also found out a few days prior to arriving that the home was part of a duplex and there was a separate unit on the property. While fenced off it is directly connected and effects things like parking and always worrying you are making noise that could annoy the tennants.We also had to constantly fix issues in the house and noticed a lot of required maintenance. Door handles not working properly, a shower tap washer replaced, beds being held together with scrap wood and screws, floor boards coming apart everywhere (had to hammer a couple nails down that were sticking up), pool fence rusting away and gate that doesnt always latch and an air con that only worked half the time due to electrical issues the owner knew about. It seems the owners are mostly aware of all issues but dont want to fix anything. The house on a whole needs a lot of attention. For the money paid I did not expect a house with lots of things falling apart and bed setup we couldnt use. Also no imformation on the property details of anyone else living on the property. We ended up buying blow up beds.A lot of potential but needs work and description not really accurate
