The latest kitchen enables great self-catering facilities with quality appliances Money saving Nespresso coffee machine with frothing,cutlery, dinner service.
Only 100 meters walk to the waters edge with beautiful coconut trees casting their shadow over the golden sands of Four Mile Beach. A 5-minute walk to a selection of around 12 restaurants, bars , deli ,coffee and convenience shops.Full list available if requested.
Macrossan street with its world-class restaurants and other attractions is accessible by a delightful walk along coconut tree lined Four Mile beach. Also local buses service the area every 15 minutes.

Great Family Holiday
The House was the perfect place for our family holiday. The facilities and location were Perfect. Port Douglas was perfect. I recommend the property and the town to anyone wanting to visit.

Fun house with outdoor space
The house was FUN! It opens to the pool (and sitting pool) into the family/TV room, dining room/foyer & kitchen. Three of the bedrooms (all with baths) open to the foyer, a 4th bedroom (with bath) opens to the pool area (not accessible from the interior of the house) and the 5th bedroom with bath is in a separate cabana by the pool. All of the bedrooms have queen beds although the listing indicates that one of them has twin beds. I appreciated the heated towel racks in each bathroom to aid in drying out the towels. A very short walk brings you to the street end and beach access where we enjoyed a WIDE beach at low tide, finding hermit crabs occupying most every shell we picked up! We also appreciated the bubbling pond with guppies (and maybe tadpoles) and the kids enjoyed rounding up and trying to open coconuts. A flock of lorikeets "serenaded" us most mornings. It was a relaxing stay. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions and needs!

Absolutely brilliant stay
We recently stayed at Port Douglas Beach for a family holiday, including three generations of travellers. The home was absolutely perfect, spotlessly clean and very well laid out with lovely comfortable communal areas, and self-contained bedrooms and retreat areas. The location was within short walking distance to the beach, and at least two restaurants and pubs. It is a short drive into the main street of town, which was easily managed. The kitchen and BBQ were in excellent condition, and made self-catering a breeze on the evenings that we didn't eat out. The pool was very well maintained, and surrounded by beautiful gardens - the kids loved it. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip a couple of days short due to Cyclone Jasper (can't help the weather), sincere thanks to our lovely host, John, who was a great communicator and very helpful in ensuring that we were safe and looked after through this process. We can't wait to return, highly recommended.

Very happy with the property, it was exactly as listed. We were a family group of 6 adults and 2 three year old boys, and it suited us perfectly. Would certainly stay there again if the occasion arose.

Fantastic family holiday
This property did not disappoint. It was spacious, clean, it delivered everything that our family of 9 needed. If I could make a couple of suggestion it would be for a few more kitchen items and some of the outside sun lounges need replacing but truly that is it. We had a fantastic 5 nights here and highly recommend it and would happily stay there again.

Excellent home for family holiday
Lovely 5 bedroom home each with separate ensuites, swimming pool, large dining area with table for 10, comfortable living room, beautiful gardens Located in a very quite street not far from the beach, a short 5 minute drive to Port Douglas shopping centre or the IGA supermarket just off the Captain Cook Highway. Great spot for a large family or group of friends and we highly recommend it The host/property manager John Rushton replies to any concerns or questions promptly and is a pleasure to deal with A very enjoyable stay

Great spot for a family holiday
An ideal property for grandparents, parents and young children. We had a great week and loved everything about the the house, pool and gardens. A nice hideaway up the back for grandparents. We'd definitely come back.

Fabulous!
Can’t speak highly enough about Beachdaze! Everything is exactly as appears in the photos - my friends and I loved every minute. The gardens are wonderful providing several different spots if you want time out, the pool was fabulous (perfect temperature), all the bedrooms and bathrooms are great sizes and we just loved the indoor/outdoor living. John is quite right when he says that it’s better to open all the louvres, turn on the ceiling fans and open the windows/doors from the kitchen, dining and lounge rooms onto the outside terrace - we hardly needed the air conditioning. John was immediately responsive to any of our requests and we made full use of all the spaces and BBQ. We used Excellence shuttle service to take us into town - what an amazing service. Just call them and they pick you up from/drop off to the house. Maximum time we waited for the shuttle was 8 minutes. We can’t wait to go back. Thank you John!

PERFECT HOUSE FOR A FAMILY HOLYDAY
We just returned from our holiday, 7 of us plus our grandchildren (toddlers) celebrating my 60th birthday and we loved the house. The layout of the house surrounding the pool is great and very relaxing. Having the 5 bedroom each with its own bathroom, plus the half bathroom we shared was great. My husband and I loved the visitors outside bedroom, was very relaxing and private. We never had any issues in contacting John, the owner, and when we needed he always replied straight away. The swimming pool is amazing, the water temperature was perfect, we had a lot of fun with the kids. The beds are comfortable and the linen nice and clean. Beachdaze is very close to the beach, restaurants and to town. We had a few outings, but I could easily stay in the house the whole week. As John requested to know, the only issues was the door handles in the half bathroom and the bathroom with the single beds, needed to be repaired. After a few of us, including the children got locked in, we realized instead of pulling the handles down as usual we had to pull them up. And the gutter in the internal corner over the pool gate overflows when rains heavy, splashing water over the deck which becomes very slippery. Just suggesting it would be nice to have a choice of pillows as a few of us found the pillows in the house were too high. As I said we had a wonderful week, and I would highly recommend this property. Thanks John for having us.

A great house for families and friends
The layout of the house surrounding the pool made for a perfect setting for fun, entertaining and relaxing. A short stroll to Four Mile Beach, The Beach Shack and playgrounds made the whole holiday very easy and casual.

Lovely place but a few issues
We were very happy at what we saw when we first arrived. It was clean and a well maintained tropical house with generous sized rooms. There were some issues though. The swimming pool is not heated and this was not stated. The kids wouldn't go in which was a real disappointment. There is no smaller pool for children as stated on the website. There was what used to be a spa attached to the pool, so I'm not sure how they can classify that as a children's pool! Communications with the property manager was non-existent. He does not leave a mobile number so when we arrived and didn't have a high chair, I emailed him and 24 hours later he replied. Its in the garage he said (dusty and dirty!). I know he doesn't want to interfere with guests staying there but a text/call on arrival or after 24 hours to ask us if everything was ok would have been appropriate. There was nothing! There was cable TV but you have to subscribe to it to get it. One of the bedrooms ran out of hot water in the mornings and the kitchen pantry should have been better stocked with essentials (like oil and salt). Couldn't even have a proper coffee because the frother didn't work. These issues could have been sorted out if he left a number to contact him on. Would I stay at beachdaze again? No, I would rather stay in a resort. At least there the pool is heated for the kids and staff will cater to all of your needs.

Amazing home, wonderful service.
We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Beachdaze. With a large group of 8adults and 4toddlers, this house had everything we could have wanted and more. We all had more than enough space, privacy and room to breathe! John was so accomodating to our needs and we had an amazing holiday all reunited together as a family. For a family holiday with all the comforts of home, we highly recommend! Thank you again John. Robyn and Claire.

Such a great trip!
We have come back From a fantastic stay at BeachDaze, we had a group of couples and friends so it was a bonus to all have our own bathroom and very clean well fitted out bedrooms. Short drive/walk from town and the beach which was fantastic. Kitchen and living all great sizes and gave us all more than enough room. Can't wait to stay again!

Resort in a house
We just spent the best week in Port Douglas. Beachdaze catered for my family of 6 adults and 1 toddler. Every bedroom has a bathroom. Enough space to share or have some alone time. The way that the concertina doors gave an indoor/outdoor living experience was awesome. Close enough to town for a short drive for supplies. Short walk to 4 mile beach. What more could you ask for.

Perfect for our family
John (owner of Beachdaze) was so easy to deal with right from my first enquiry 6 months before our trip. The house was absolutely ideal and the kids had a ball. The layout is perfect for watching everyone in the pool. The house was extremely clean, so close to the beach we went there every day. Great lounge that fit all of us, big dining table, awesome modern kitchen, fans, a/c, privacy etc etc.

Highly Recommended
We were 2 families from Melbourne 6 adults, 2 teenage girls and a 2 yr old. The house was clean, we had everything we needed. Our own clothes and food was all we had to have. The owners had thought of all needs incl beach towels. Beach so close was great. House extremely spacious and each bedroom having its own bathroom was great. Would stay again and recommend to anyone.
