Orchard Cottage @ Old Orchard Creek Farm - Hiking, Views, Family Friendly

The Orchard Cottage sits in the farm’s old apple orchard and overlooks a small spring-fed stream. The cottage accommodates up to five guests in two bedrooms and one trundle bed. Amenities include a wood burning fireplace (great for winter stays), wireless internet and high definition TV. We also provide towels and linens. Come visit, enjoy hiking on our 2.5 mile farm loop trail, star-gazing, magnificent views, in-season blueberry picking or simply rocking on the front porch. We are happy to recommend area activities or book restaurant reservations and excursions. We look forward to welcoming you to the Lost Province of North Carolina. Christmas at the farm

We look forward to our visit to Old Orchard Creek Farm every year. The cabin is spacious, well appointed and just lovely. The view from the back porch is a magical place to have your morning coffee. The views from the top of the hiking trail are absolutely spectacular! Johnny and Walter are fantastic hosts. We highly recommend and will most definitely be returning.

We loved the hike on the property and the view from the back deck. Our Labrador loved playing with the resident dogs. We had a very peaceful weekend.

Blueberry farm getaway

This was a fun place to stay for our trip around ashe county. It gave us access to hiking and the town was having a fun fair at the local park. It is a lively town with a lot of local fun. The people there are obviously proud of the town!

Beautiful and peaceful

Wonderful place to stay in a very beautiful and peaceful setting. The cabin was everything we needed and more! Lansing is a sweet little town and we were close to West Jefferson and many parks and rivers.

Cabin was great lots of wildlife the stars were amazing at night very quiet and private 2 mile hiking trail owners dog s came to visit the last morning land scaping around cabin was beautiful took lots of photos coming back in October R EMarsh

Beautiful & Relaxing

The cabin was just as pictured inside, updated and clean but with nice quaint touches. Photos do no justice to how beautiful and peaceful the property is. It is the perfect balance of “away from it all” without being too remote. Would definitely visit again!

An absolutely magical getaway!

My family and I booked a last minute 3 day weekend and had the time of our lives! It was truly a magical weekend. We went during their blueberry season (it is a u-pick blueberry farm as well) and I was apprehensive about having to share the property with others coming and going... But it ended up being one of our favorite parts! It was so great connecting with families coming to pick yummy blueberries. Ellen at the blueberry shed was absolutely wonderful and my son didn't want to leave her side all weekend. It was a sad goodbye for all of us. We loved our experience so much, I booked our next trip while still on the first trip. :) You can't miss out on the Old Orchard General Store! Get a "magic cookie", or get multiple, because they are so good. We can't wait for our next trip this fall!

Lansing and the Farm and mountains

You couldn't ask for a lovelier location with better views and nicer accommodations. Far enough away to feel remote close enough to things you need to not be inconvenient

If you seek peace and quiet.

This was our second visit in twelve months and my wife and two dog's enjoyed every minute. We come to relax, do a little shopping in Lansing and West Jefferson, but mostly just hang out at the property and enjoy the serenity. Great two mile hike around the ridgetop with the dogs. In Lansing the Liars Bench has great sandwiches while the Old Orchard Store is always inviting. Walter, we'll see you and the dogs and your new pup soon. Happy New Year 🎉

The Farm in it’s is so quaint and lovely! I can’t say enough about the hosts and the views in every direction. If you’re looking for a place to unwind and not to far from the little downtown Lansing and just a few miles from West Jefferson! GO!!
