This was our second stay at the "University Pub Craftsman". It is a cozy, clean, well decorated place that is pet friendly! It is within walking distance of Whitman Campus, Pioneer Park and the downtown area and is in a nice neighborhood. We would definitely stay again!
Great place and great neighborhood. Fenced back yard was perfect with the dogs and the bonus room (shuffleboard particularly) was a hit.
Very comfortable and Terri was highly responsive.
Highly recommend.
We were in Walla Walla for Whitman Graduation. This house was very cute, in a perfect location and had all the amenities we needed. Thank you for a great stay!
We enjoyed the house. Plenty of room for the four of us. Close to downtown and nice neighborhood. The only issue was the setting area in the living area while watching TV was not that comfortable.
Very nice place to stay. Clean, comfortable and very cute. Nice quiet neighborhood but only about a mile or so to City Center. Would definitely stay here again.
Very comfortable 2 bedroom home near Whitman. Well appointed kitchen, comfortable mattresses, and fun bar/game/extra bedroom downstairs. Look forward to staying there again.
We met good friends for a quick getaway and birthday celebration. The weather was great for late November and the house fit all our needs! Thank you for making it a cozy place to hang out!
This property is close to Downtown and a very central location to wineries, golfing, bars, and restaurants. The basement has darts and a smaller shuffle board table which are fun for an nightly wind down. Thanks for giving us a place to stay.
Enjoyed the property. It was great for a moms getaway with 3 of us. Slight strange smell when we first entered the property but it disappeared over time.
Absolutely loved the home - old world charm with updated features. Comfortable and very clean, useful amenities throughout the home‼️Just a short distance to downtown and very easy to navigate. I hope to return soon - too many things that need to be done…🎉
This house is a great, convenient property for 4 to 6 people. It’s about a 25 minute walk from the downtown area; it has a nice little game room downstairs; it’s super clean and it has nice amenities, like plenty of towels, plenty of shampoo packets, and a welcoming bottle of wine. Definitely recommend.

About the host
Hosted by Terri Coffell
This 1920 Craftsman home has been in the Dashiell family since 1979. It has always been a warm happy cozy oasis. Dennis and Jeannette Dashiell took over the home from Dennis’ mom Sharon, who lived there through her career as a beloved local grade school teacher and later in her retirement. The Dashiell family lives in Bellingham WA now but family, friends, beautiful vistas, sun, great wine and an exceptional Walla Walla food scene has kept them coming back every chance they get. Dennis and Jeannette did most of the remodel work themselves with great attention to detail and are very proud of the house as it stands today.
Your vacation dollars support a noble cause: In January of 2014 the Dashiells lost their college-bound daughter Hannah to a car accident. Hannah was pursuing her dream of becoming a doctor. A scholarship fund has been set up in honor of Hannah’s legacy of generosity and caring. A percentage of receipts from this rental will go to a community foundation scholarship fund for young women entering the medical field. www.whatcomcf.org/dashiell-scholarship
Why they chose this property
The magical beauty of rolling wheat fields, wineries, the blue mountains, tree lined streets and a Norman Rockwell inspired old-world downtown - all combine for a great vacation destination. Many people think Walla Walla surpasses Napa for access to incredible vintners and quality of wine tour experience. The “foodie” scene in Walla Walla is amazing with a competition among chefs to continually reinvent fun food experiences, cutting edge dishes and wine-pairing events. The warm evening walk-ability of this beautiful town ties it all together.
What makes this property unique
It’s the best of all worlds when this home offers a perfect peaceful setting to launch your tour of the valley by day, and a slow down to the nearby pub and other fun eateries by night.
