So much about this potentially very cute house is so worn down and grungy and in need of an update - broken down chairs with saggy seating surfaces, worn carpets with curled up edges, moldy shower curtains, old blankets, one bathroom sink that doesn't drain and the other bathroom sink that doesn't run hot water, threadbare and torn outdoor cushions. The owners are very sweet and very responsive and the kitchen had a lot of equipment. Things were clean per se but just super worn.
Stayed with a small group for a lowkey bachelorette weekend and it was perfect! So cute and comfortable a big bonus that we were able
To park our cars behind the gate without having to worry about what’s left inside. It’s also a short 10 minute Uber from downtown 10/10 recommend.
The house worked well for 4 adults. We enjoyed the pool area, which has a great view of the mountains and is a nice place to relax. The house itself was not the cleanest, although for the amount of time we were there it wasn't a big enough issue to bring up to the host. Based on the
We had an absolute blast staying at Casa Sunny Dunes. Our group of 4 couldn't have been more comfortable. The space is open and relaxing, with great places to hang both indoors and outdoors. The house has everything you could need from a fully stocked to kitchen to a TV with all the apps and the perfect little pool. The location is fantastic, just a quick drive to bars, restaurants and hotels in town as well as all the local hikes. Cannot recommend staying here enough on your next group trip.
We spent two nights here after a few days at Disney and relaxation was on the menu - this house delivered! Cute house, great amenities, easy check in and out. Pool was sparkling clean and we had a great stay.
We liked the location and the provided amenities at the property. It is drivable from all major attractions of palm springs and the downtown. We couldn't use the pool due to the cold weather, but it was clean and well maintained. It is a good stay for a 6-8 people.
There is no Washer-Dryer available so adding that to the amenities would be a big plus.
Thanks,
Akil
Spent five days here with family for Thanksgiving. Six of us. Granddaughters loved the pool. Convenient to downtown. Comfortable beds, plenty of space for sitting in the living room. Ample outdoor sitting space. Enjoyed our cocktails at sunset with the setting sun behind the mountains. Would stay here again.
Long story but we ended up at their casa stardust (highly recommend) instead which was perfect and just the right amount of funky I like. Pool was perfect for relaxing, great backyard, quiet, and amazing neighborhood. Everything is close; air museum five minutes away, movie about fifteen, then a little restaurant place we found with delicious Cuban's right down the road. Thanks to everyone for making this happen.

We were in town for a project and not on site a lot, but house was comfortable and ready to go. Very pleasant. When our project returns to PS, would definitely stay again
The property was perfectly located, well-appointed, and comfortable. Chase was wonderful, and very responsive to our questions and requests. There was plenty of space inside and out for board games, dog lounging, and drinks overlooking the mountains. Overall, a wonderful stay.
Some friends and I enjoyed a few days at this property and really enjoyed our stay! The place is as pictured, with plenty of space to spread out. The quirky style is fun and included everything we needed. The couches are quite uncomfortable and should be replaced, but everything else was great. We especially appreciated the location! A short drive to the airport, downtown, and other nearby cities. The central location allowed us to pack a lot of activities and restaurants into our stay. Thank you!
Overall we had a wonderful time at the property. The house was well-equipped, the beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed the pool. The host was very responsive and answered all of our questions prior to our stay.
Just a couple of items that need attention: Throw rugs tend to slip and need to be taped down. The patio furniture was very dirty and needed to be wiped down.
This house is so light and fresh. The decor is so mid century modern and exactly what we were hoping the vibe would be. It is in a good location for getting around the entire Palm Springs area and out to Joshua Tree. I highly recommend this house for your stay. We had no difficulties or issues. Our only disappointment was thinking that "solar heated" meant that the small pool had a "solar powered" heater. The label of "solar heated" is a bit misleading. The pool is not heated by a heater at all. The "solar heated" term means there is no physical heater, literally the sun heats the pool, which to most people is "the pool is not heated". Therefore, in the cool weather months (January when we were there) the renter is not likely to be able to use the pool. (It was frigid! I would suggest that the management/owner remove the "solar heated" pool label in their listing.). Other than that disappointment, our stay was fabulous. I highly recommend!
We enjoyed the stay due to spacious property , clean , quiet , and easy access . However much like your previous reviews I think this property would greatly benefit in new living room furniture . The couches are old and woefully uncomfortable. The aesthetic I realize needs to be maintained but comfort and practicality shouldn’t outweigh the aesthetic .
I also feel the rugs in hallway and kitchen are a liability for safety . We tripped and fell a few times therefore felt compelled to move aside the rugs .
Overall a great stay but those were the points we feel need to be addressed going forward for future guests .
Very cool house that is run extremely well. The backyard would be amazing in warm weather. Love the enclosed gate in the front. Lots of amenities in the house like TVs in each room and tons of cooking utensils. They have everything such as an ice cream scoop and 6 pans. My mom said, "I could live in this house!" Easy to check in with the access codes. Also cool decorations.
It was easy to get to and close to shopping and dinning.
The beds were very comfortable but the living room furniture is another story no comfort there. Old and worn out. The property manager Chase was prompt with replies and easy to get a hold of. Jesus the plumber was delightful and funny. He came out on Christmas Day. We loved our stay over all.
Cute space that was close to the airport and where we needed to go during our stay. The pool was unfortunately too cold to use in November. Rosanna was flexible and quick to respond.
I fell in love with Palm Springs fifteen years ago when visiting my in-laws's house for the first time. I was captivated by the gorgeous mountains, incredible architecture, and warm weather... and the vintage shopping didn't hurt either! I knew I wanted to create a home that emphasized the best of Palm Springs, starting with its mid-century roots and enhancing the origins with vintage furniture and art collected from the area. And I think I have been fortunate enough to do just that!
Why they chose this property
Casa Sunny Dunes has classic Mid-Century lines. When I found this home I knew it was the perfect place to create a Palm Springs oasis for my family and our guests. Though the property needed some TLC (and a pool!) I knew that it had great potential. The gorgeous view sold me, and I've had a lot of fun remodeling and furnishing the house with the essence of Mid-Century Palm Springs in mind.
What makes this property unique
The perimeter wall and gate give Casa Sunny Dunes a unique privacy, without detracting from the mountain views. The old growth trees which were cared for by the previous owner for decades offer cool shade in the summer and life in the winter.
