Open floor plan, seasonally decorated lake home with beautiful views of the lake! Updated home offering lake recreation, relaxation, fire pit, large deck, and a toy room for the kids! This home features comfortable couches, center island with a rustic light fixture! Kitchen seating for 4-6, extra chairs and tables in storage for more guests! Beautiful maintenance free deck with lounge chairs and an umbrella, plus a dock to hook your water toys up to! There are a few kayaks to use, a canoe, along with one kid size paddle board and one adult paddle board, and various beach toys and a kids playhouse (see beach photo). Enjoy winter activities as well! Snowshoeing, skiing and snowmobiling, only 1/2 mile off hwy 169 and 1/2 of a block to the snowmobile trials! Seven miles to ERX track! Close to town and the Twin Cities yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of busy life. Located ten minutes away from Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge where there’s nature walks and bird watching! And only an hour away from the grand Mille Lacs Lake! Whether you’re looking for low-down family beach time or hosting a get together/smaller party or wedding, this home has it all! Great flow from the kitchen-dining-deck-to beach, hosting birthday party’s and get together s is smooth with plenty of parking and gorgeous sunsets to boot! We can accommodate large trailers/campers for parking or multiple parking spots for regular vehicles.

Another fun stay!

We have stayed at this property for the last three years with friends. We all have kids under age 8. The toy room is fun, separate areas for our two families, a nice beach and swimming area. Definitely some nice places to hang out inside and outside, great kitchen. And, most of all, we’ve made great memories together. Jackie is a great host and really takes great care of the property,

Beautiful stay

What a beautiful house on a beautiful lake I came here with my Girls Group for a weekend getaway and everything was great. We use the barbecue girl the first night that was fine and also we use the fire pit every night and it was so relaxing out there by the water, we also spent part of the day out on the water on paddle boards and Floaties and it was very relaxing. The host was very good at explaining everything we needed to know about the property. I would definitely stay here again.

Family trip

We had my husband and I and 4 kids ages 15-30. The cabin is very cozy and comfortable. Nice beach with plenty of water toys. The owner is wonderful.. she checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed.

Perfect summer getaway

Spent 5 days at this cabin with some extended family/cousins. The kids had an amazing time - the playroom in the basement and the shed full of so many toys, life jackets, and all sorts or kayaks/paddleboards, lounge chairs, etc. CANNOT be beat. The individual air conditioners between bedrooms allowed for individualized comfort that my husband adored. Be aware there is no Wi-Fi, which was surprising, and I would say was my only negative. Most of the time it didn't matter however when you have an entire day of poor weather the lack of Wi-Fi was more noticeable. Will definitely be back, loved our experience.

Family fun

We had a great experience getting together with family and enjoying the lake. The little ones really enjoyed the playroom and the outside playhouse. There was something for everyone to enjoy and Jackie was a wonderful host!

Great Stay

Was the perfect spot for us and our family for a holiday get together. Our Grandchildren loved the play room as we did it keep them busy. Jackie our host was great and we had everything we needed at the cabin. We will look to rent this again in the summer.

Beautiful family friendly property

The house was very cozy for our winter stay, it was beautifully decorated. The toy room was a big hit and was great for keeping the kids occupied. They had a lot of accommodations like a pack and play available, a baby gate etc. The host was easy to communicate with, and was very responsive and helpful if we needed anything at all. I’m sure it’d be great fun in the summer too. Overall a great stay!

Wonderful lake home

This home on the lake has everything you need for a great family vacation: beach, beach equipment, toy room, well stocked kitchen and fire pit for making tasty s’mores. Jackie is a wonderful host, quick to respond and very helpful.

Family Vacation

Our stay at Jackie’s house was nothing short of amazing! We loved the small beach and clean water to swim in (all thanks to the aqua thruster and her care for her property). She was so easy to work with and communicate with throughout the stay. She checked in on us after night one which was extremely thoughtful. The toy room she has for littles was loved by our little boy who made it is room for the duration of the stay - it was so nice he had an area to play in without us having to drag a bunch of toys with us. Even though the property doesn’t have central A/C she has room A/C’s which were more than enough and even the basement stayed plenty cool. Overall she was a great host and we loved staying at her place - would definitely come back!

Family vacation for all ages

We had a fantastic extended family vacation. There were lots of things to do right at the property. We fished, kayaked, canoed, played in the sand, had a couple of fires with smores and pudgy pies, and so much more. The little kids enjoyed the playroom. We highly recommend Jackie's property.

Zimmerman Lake Front

What an awesome time we had. Excellent property and owner. House and property were wonderful. We were able to easily pull our boat right up to the house with no issues. Highly recommend this place!!

Wonderful stay!

Just stayed for the second time at this property and it was even better. Our host Jackie checked in with us and made sure everything was going well. We stayed with friends and have kids ages 6 and under. The beach was perfect for swimming and playing in the sand and the playroom is awesome when needing down time. Love the kitchen and hang out areas. The property is beautiful and well maintained. It’s a wonderful place and we have made many treasured memories the past two summers! Hope to return again.

Total package cabin life

Well-stocked, clean, very cute cabin with everything required for an extended family getaway. Beautiful sand beach to build castles, large green lawn to play games, dock for catching fish & securing jet ski, clean water for swimming, paddleboarding, paddleboating, lily pad play, smoker grill, great fire ring, comfy furniture, amazing playroom, huge kitchen. Jackie has prompt, caring communication. Will absolutely book another vacation here. All in our extended family had a blast.

Great place for families!!

This place had everything we needed for our family vacation. We loved that there were great a/c units in the rooms and plenty of toys for our son to play with. The sandy beach was perfect for our son to make sand castles on. Jackie was a great host that checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. We were close to stores and some restaurants, which was convenient! The only suggestion we would make is it would be nice to have a tv upstairs to watch movies on, but there was a great tv downstairs in the living room/bedroom area with lots of movies, cable, and Netflix. Would definitely stay again!!!

Great Lake house

Jackie was great as a host, and we really enjoyed the house. The kitchen was fully equipped, and beds were comfy. We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the evenings watching the sunset and the blue heron catching fish. The furniture was all very comfy and it felt like home. We also liked using the kayaks and paddle board. Jackie is very accessible for any questions and I highly recommend this house. 👍😀

Great Cabin - Has Everything you Need!

Jackie was an amazing host and her place is fantastic. It's clear that she cares for her guests and takes great pride in her rental. It has pretty much everything you can think of. The water toys were great to have/use and the lake was beautiful. I highly recommend this rental/location. Having a TV upstairs would have been nice. Also, the water is quite shallow in areas so I wouldn't recommend diving off the dock.

Amazing!

This house is nothing short of amazing! You won’t regret booking this house. It’s so quiet, peaceful and comfortable. The house is located on a huge lake lot that is so nice for the kids to play in the snow and has a huge playroom which my kids LOVED - huge hit! This house is very clean and cozy, and it looks way better in person than in pictures so don’t hesitate like i did and just book it because you will not regret staying here.

Great for young kids

We stayed here during the spring because it was close to family. It was a perfect place to stay with 4 young kids, even though it was off season for the lake. The kids slept in the basement bedroom and loved having the smart tv in there. The toy room was super fun, especially ages 8 and under. Kitchen was well-equipped with all the basics. This is a place the owner said they also use, and you can tell it’s set up nicely and well-loved. The handmade staircase and cute painted basement floor was so fun! The beach looked really nice - will consider checking it out in the summer. FYI this is not a secluded lake cabin. It’s basically a neighborhood house with lake access, nice, but not private. It was a great location, 5 minutes ti Elk River and 40 minutes to downtown Minneapolis.

Girls Weekend and Birthday Celebration

We had a group of 8 women who wanted to get together for a girls weekend and birthday celebration. The location was ideal and the space was perfect. We enjoyed the lake, bon fire, ducks and just being outside after a long winter. Jackie was great to work with and accomodating. The only thing we would change is outdoor lights that came on at 9 as we would have sat outside longer but the mosquitoes were coming out. We had a blast and would rent again!

Impeccable!!

This house was so stunning and so perfect for our family! Firstly the property manager is very communicative and made sure we knew everything and had everything we needed. The shed is FILLED with canoes, life jackets, floaties, and a splash mat. The beach is sand and the kids just loved it. The porch is lovely and gives a great view of those Minnesota skies at night and a lovely sunset view. Two main bedrooms are upstairs and the double rm with the TV is downstairs as is the playroom. Love love loved it.

Perfect Stay

Can't say enough positive things about our stay at this property! We had a group of six adults that came up for a snowmobile event at ERX Motor park in Elk River. Jackie (host) was excellent, stopping by to make sure everything was in order and gave us input on restaurants and activities near by. The home was perfect for six adults, very clean and all the amenities that were advertised. Parking was also large for our equipment and trailers, which is rare to find. The trail was close to the house, which made the location an excellent choice for our weekend. Will certainly plan to stay here in the future and would highly recommend this property. Thanks Jackie for your warm hospitality and wonderful property! We will certainly recommend it to our friends and family!

Beloate vacation 2022

Jackie was the best . She showed how to work things in and out of house. Had a list of parks ,restaurants and things to do in the area . Everything you need is here you only need clothes and food. The kids loved the lillypad in the lake. We all took a boat ride with the canoe ,,kayak and pattleboat. My grandson loved the sand toys and trucks. Plenty of life jackets and floating devices. We had the best time would love to go back.

Great Lake retreat

Have stayed at this lake home several times. Pictures and description accurate. Jackie is great to deal with. The home overlooks the lake. The beach she has is perfect for little ones. The play room is a nice bonus if you have little ones. There is a variety of water crafts to use. Sunsets from the deck are a great way to end a perfect day in the lake. It’s a comfortable home and a perfect lake getaway. If your trying to decide if this is the cabin for you go for it. You will be happy you did.

I own this home with my two kids and have greatly enjoyed living here! We’ve hosted numerous lake parties, birthday parties, and showers here. I am opening up my home for others to use and enjoy as much as we have!! I grew up in Zimmerman. I love to ride horses, 4-wheel, fish, kayak, camp and be in nature. To me, this place has it all with the convenience of living close to the cities yet far enough away to feel space and country living. I hope you will enjoy my home as much as we have. My kids and I continue to live here as I rent out when I do not have them. More than likely I am around the area riding horse or visiting family and friends!

Why they chose this property

Close to the country and the Twin Cities. This property is smack in the middle of both! The north half of the lake is county owned, with a minimum maintenance road that’s great for walking and biking around. And the south half is ran by the city of Zimmerman. My lakeshore retreat has everything you’d want in a lake place get away with family or friends. Relaxing on a private beach, boating to the island, hosting an event, or even enjoying winter activities! All is possible with this home. (I do not supply any motorized water toys, a dock is available to hook up to if you want to bring your own!)
