About the area
Big Bear Lake
Located in Big Bear Lake, this cabin is in the mountains and on a lake. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Stanfield Marsh Wildlife and Waterfowl Preserve and Meadow Park, while Community Arts Theater Society and Big Bear Solar Observatory are cultural highlights. Make sure you get close to the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Upstairs was warm and one window was missing a screen preventing a crosswind that was much needed. Liked the location, close to park and Farmers market. Easy 20 minute walk into the village.
The Cabin was a little older but we loved the nostalgic feeling and everything was in working order. The upstairs bedroom area was great for our kids to go play their video games, banter and hang out in a separate area of the house for periods of time while we relaxed in the quiet living room or on the front porch. Two blocks away was an awesome park with several playgrounds and dog parks. The kids looked forward to going everyday after skiing. Will definitely stay again.
Absolutely gorgeous locations and cozy property. I HIGHLY recommend Vrbo.
Everything was smooth and easy and EXACTLY what we expected. VERY QUIEY, PEACEFUL, SAFE, AND FRIENDLY area.

Cabin looked like a shanty of a shack
Bushes in front of property are over grown. Porch and grill was covered in dirt, and webs.
Beds upstairs are in bad shape and need new mattresses. The yard is not fenced if you bring a dog. Also, no AC so bring fans. It got up to 89 the weekend we were there. The kitchen was stocked with enough pots, pans, cups, dishes and such. Bathrooms were clean, bedding was clean. They advertised using a paddle board or canoe and I never got a response from property management. We made the best of it and enjoyed ourselves over all.

Rustic cabin in big bear
Good location and close to lake and town. It was a little noisy on saturday night but just music. Cabin was cozy and rustic. My daughter and her friends loved all the activities nearby. We rented this cabin as an alternative to camping so it suited our needs. Plan to rent it again.
RE: Reservation ID: 2700370
Hello,
My husband and I stayed in this cabin this past weekend (6/25-6/27) and we were a bit disappointed with the amenities and the cleanliness of the cabin.
The information on our reservation and cabin description receipt clearly said WiFi available, but when we arrived at the cabin the note on the wall said "NO WiFi". The sheet we received with the key also included a WiFi Name and password which did not apply since there was no WiFi in the cabin. This is false advertisement. I work from home and try to get away, so having WiFi connection is very important. We tried to call the office on Friday, but never got through and never received a call back.
Also, your trash process is very inconvenient and unsanitary. You expect us to transport our trash from the cabin to a different location. This is not only inconvenient and time consuming, it is very unsanitary.
Lastly, the cabin porch and deck looked like it had not been cleaned for months, we get that it's a cabin and it is outdoors, but there were cob webs and dirt everywhere. We cleaned and vacuumed our cabin prior to leaving and left everything in a clean condition, but it made us think twice about ever using village reservations in the future. Also, you need to have an earlier check-in time. 4:00 PM is too late, past experiences is always 2-3 PM.
Thank you,
Geraldine and Rigor Deleon
Me and my friends had a blast staying at this place. The cabin has a traditional old school mountain cabin vibe to it which I love. I would definitely stay there again
We had an excellent time staying at this cabin. It was exactly the amount of space we needed and it was so close to everything. Had a blast BBQ-ing one of the nights! The property manager(s) were very helpful with checking in. The cabin was sanitized well by the maids before we got in.
I would recommend this to anyone who just wants a low-key weekend getaway with family.
The property is ok to stay. But the tv is not working( no signal) the couches and carpet floor seems it hasn’t been cleaned. I hope that this will be given attention. The place is accessible to the shops and restaurants.
So that other people can be safe and enjoy their stay without any bugs like spiders
My complaint is the overall cleanliness or lack of your location I was bitten by a spider there was a lot of spiderwebs everywhere inside outside not a very pleasant stay
The cabin was everything we expected. Enjoyed the front and side porches. Beds nice and clean. Only issue was with the hot water. One of the kids took a shower and got no hot water. When my husband checked the water heater was on “vacation” mode. No one told us this and we set it on so we could take hot showers. So that would be good to tell guests.
