Good location to downtown
Location was close to downtown. Unit needs a deep cleaning - floors, fridge, coffeemaker, etc. Towels smelled musty and there was no washcloth. There isn't alot a pots and pans, if you're planning to your own cooking.
This was my 1st time using this website so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The cottage was exactly as it was shown and described. Very cute and had the amenities we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and we had two cute feline neighbors. We had to attend a wedding in Carmel so we needed something that was in our budget and it was only 1/2 hour away. I would stay again.
The house provided just the right amount of space and privacy, with most of the comforts of home. The deck area offered additional seating for morning coffee. Clothes items washed by hand were line-dried just outside the front door. Recommendation: Update worn non-stick cookware to stainless steel cookware, plus one non-stick pan. On-street parking. Short drive to downtown Salinas with easy access to Carmel Valley and Monterrey coastal areas. Thank you!
This was a cute little place located in the backyard so pretty private. Residential area with parking on street. This place is a tiny place but works for one person or a couple. There were a few things that could be improved. The shower cubby was very dirty with old soap, there was a used open bar of soap in it, there were no wash clothes for bathroom or kitchen so we ended going and purchasing some. There was a sponge in the kitchen but it appeared old and used. The mirror in the bathroom is super small and was hung so that i could only see from my nose up. I'm short (5'5") but I've never had to tiptoe to see a mirror. Otherwise, okay place to stay.

Fair for the price but dirty
A fair bargain if you’re on a budget but we won’t be returning unfortunately. The photos are accurate but the biggest thing for us was that the home was dusty and dirty. My husband woke up with a spider web and dead spider on him and the pillows are so worn that they’re all yellow. The listing states that there’s wireless internet but we didn’t have any wifi. Host was unresponsive and we never heard back about our questions. We also had a stray cat that would follow us home and tried to enter the door every time we went in. So if you’re allergic, it might be stressful since there are a lot of neighbor cats. The instructions for leaving were also not clear since we couldn’t find the basket for linens and couldn’t find the outdoor trash cans. Overall thankful for this place but we weren’t comfortable.
I had my brother in law in the Casita with his partner and their toddler. It was a perfect space for them. Other family stayed in the big house. Was a great way for everyone to have their own space.
