We had a great time. The property was in a nice location and secluded from other houses. We saw a lot of wildlife on our way in & out of town. Downstairs was a hit for the kids. Definitely would go here again.
We had a wonderful family trip and the beautiful Hawksnest, from the fun game room for the kids to enjoy to the quiet porches to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Great communication with our hostess, who was kind enough to mail a forgotten electronic our 7 year old left behind. Thank you.forescus.bmouus.escen toy
We loved our stay in the mountains! It was remote, all descriptions of the cabin were accurate, and the owner was responsive. Highly recommend this place.
I just stayed here with my wife, our dogs, and some close friends for Thanksgiving. We all live far away from our families, so we were fortunate enough to be able to stay here and celebrate the holiday together. Overall we were very impressed with the property, location, amenities, and price. We would be happy to stay here again in the future and will consider it first on the next trip to the mountains.
We had such a great time in this beautiful cabin nestled in mountains. Very well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Fabulous amenities. Everyone was so comfortable and entertained right there at the cabin with
plenty to do on site. The Hot Tub and game room kept us entertained. Spotted lots wildlife, including deer and a flock of turkeys. Such beautiful mountain views. Everyone had a great time and we all hated to leave.
Fabulous place on the edge of the woods, with a mountain stream, at a remote location. Staring into the woods from the back porch while listening to the water was pure bliss for our long stay at Hawks Nest. Comfortable bed and well-stocked kitchen sweetened the deal! A perfect vacation spot for my wife, our traveling cat, and me.
Lovely location on a beautiful creek. Family game room with bunkbeds & bathroom, perfect hang out for kids of all ages. Loved the ping pong & played corn hole outside. Owner very helpful & they provided almost everything needed to enjoy our stay. Dogs thought it was paradise with the creek & lovely surrounding woods. Definitely want to stay there another time.
This house was all that we could have asked for and more! From the waterfall outside the back door to wanting for nothing because everything is so well equipped, this house is a must stay! The owner communicated well and timely, plenty of space, clean, all i can say is wow! Thanks for a great vacation!
This location was a little hard to get to but, once you got there it was worth the trip. The house was everything that we were hoping for. The stream outside was so soothing to listen to. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone who wants to get away for some peace an quiet.
My family and I came to celebrate Easter together. It was absolutely perfect!! The house was well equipped, beautifully decorated and so comfy. We could not have enjoyed our stay more.
The owners were wonderful. They had a tree up and lights in the porches. Everything was so festive without being overdone. We had a lovely time in your beautiful cabin with the little creek out back. Wildlife too with 8 to 10 inches of snow it was absolutely wonderful. The kitchen was well equipped. We had everything we needed to cook with for the holiday.
Thank you
We had a wonderful, relaxing get away. The pictures do not do this home justice! You can tell by all the details and high quality furnishings, that these owners love their home! We highly suggest you grab this little slice of heaven before they book up! Thank you so much!
We booked for our Christmas at Biltmore visit. We visited Linville Falls and Caverns. Mined in Spruce Pines and visited Lexington Glass Co. in Asheville. The house is at the top of the mountain, has a picturesque brooke in the backyard; and unpaved roads are part of the experience. We had a great time!
We chose those location because it was the closest rental to our wedding venue, and we are beyond thankful that we did. This house is seated in an absolutely stunning location and is set up perfectly for the group we had. Ample space to hang out and sleep! The back porch was the best part of the house. I could have stayed there all day and listened to the creek and the wind in the trees. Will plan a longer trip to just enjoy the location in the future!
I brought three of our granddaughters to North Carolina to visit Biltmore and we were fortunate to find two available nights at this beautiful mountain home. We came in the "back way" from our zip-line site and just the drive through the forest on a hilly twisting, well-maintained gravel road was such an adventure for the girls! We we stunned when we arrived to find this remarkable cabin in the Blue Ridge with all the conveniences and amenities we could have asked for. We all loved the soothing sounds from the little mountain stream spilling over the rocks just behind the house. The girls had fun in the hot tub and roasted marshmallows in the fire pit. Then we were all able to settle in on the plush, leather couches to watch movies before bed.
We went out a different route when we drove to Asheville which was just as much fun as coming in. A small flock of wild turkeys greeted us along the hairpin turns just in front of the house.
If you are traveling to this area, book this lovely mountain home if they have a vacancy. You will be well satisfied and not want to leave. Annie, the owner, could not have been more pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed visiting with her by phone and will certainly stay here again if we are in North Carolina.
