In the district of Milcowie and built in 1901 this charming farmhouse includes 3 Queen sized bedrooms, 1 double bedroom, with single Trundle Bed. 2 Bathrooms including Full size Bath, 2 toilets, Lounge room, Sunroom , open plan Kitchen-Dining.

The farmhouse is only 2 hours drive from Adelaide and is nestled at the base of the Flinders Ranges, South Australia's longest chain of mountain ranges. It is ideally situated for families, couples or groups looking for a short break, those traveling further north or wishing to explore the wonders of the ever changing landscape, wineries and olive groves or the Flinders Ranges.

We stayed at this B&B over the weekend of our daughter's wedding and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had our little dog with us and she was able to have the run of the place. This was the reason we booked here in the first place and we do not regret it. Highly recommend.

A Great and Quiet Place
We have had a wonderful week here, the house was just as listed and very comfortable. There was milk and other provisions when we arrived and wood for the fire. At night it was dark and quiet - the occasional train was really all we heard! We look forward to coming back to stay again - a perfect country escape.

Well appointed & characteristic B&B in Warnertown
This was an ideal accommodation to base ourselves for walking the Heysen Trail. B&B had everything we needed. Extremely quiet location set in farming property. Beds were comfy. Breakfast provisions were generous and we enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine. Our host, Peter, was easy to liaise with and responded promptly to our questions.

Lovely farm stay
Peter was a very hospitable host. The house is a lovely old farmhouse with lots of collectables. It is, however, badly in need of refurbishment and a thorough clean. It was also extremely cold in the bedrooms. The location was gorgeous - just south of the Flinders Ranges and 15 minutes from Port Pirie. All I all, a most enjoyable stay.

a quiet retreat close to Port Pirie and Crystal Brook , has cats and kittens a slight problem if your dog dosent like cats, freshly layed eggs every morning bacon , tomatoes and bread that were supplied. charcoal BBQ i whipped up and left for the next people to enjoy, overall we had fun

Suited our needs for a getaway
Needing a break, booked into the accommodation as we could bring our dogs. Extremely well stocked for breakfast and all the comforts of home. Lots of personal items in the house if you don’t mind sharing their lives with yours. Communication with Peter and Robyn was great. New area for us but found it limiting with things we like to do, dogs loved it though.

Milcowie B&B was a great property to stay at - host was very welcoming upon arrival. Very comfortable living - fireplace and heater definitely made it that extra comfortable for the winter while we were staying there.

Exceeded Expectations
A great base to explore the region, Laura, Crystal Brook, Napperby Gorge, Pirie and Port Germain all within easy distance of the house, and offering plenty of options for things to do / visit. Although it's also very easy to spend time at the house with the it's relaxed feel; a game of cricket in the back yard; a short ride on the bikes (provided); or feeding the ducks and chooks. The beds were very comfortable (not usually the case at a lot of properties!) and there is a feeling of warmth and generosity created by the owners.

Fantastic, secluded , relaxing base to explore the Southern Flinders Ranges
Our family of 5 had a terrific and relaxing few days here. Our boys loved fossicking around the farmhouse grounds and with the chickens,collecting fresh eggs each day. Plenty of room in the house and a central location to explore the southern Flinders Ranges. Peter as host is extremely warm, welcoming and easy to contact and communicate with. On arrival the home is amply stocked with breakfast provisions and a nice bottle of wine. Overall a fantastic stay and would recommend.

PEACE & QUIET
A wonderful stay in what felt like my own home. Few, if any, cars along the road hundreds of metres away. Interesting trains rumbling by in the middle distance: it was fascinating watching them go by. And here was I, deep in the comforts of Milcowie B & B. No visitors. PLENTY of breakfast provisions. What a brilliant place just to catch up with yourself and relax. looking forward to my next visit.

Work, Relax & Enjoy
In Port Pirie for work/conference and no accommodation in town...glad there wasn't as Milcowie B&B was one of the best places I have stayed in, quiet, comfortable, relaxing, everything you needed after a busy day and only 15 min. to Pirie. Thanks Peter.

Christmas at Milcowie
My family has just had the most enjoyable stay over Christmas at this most enjoyable rural property in country South Australia. In every way the property surpassed our expectations. The farmhouse offers guests including families the ultimate in comfort and tranquility, excellent quality of furnishings and interior decoration and the attention to detail by the owner Peter is well above industry averages. In addition Peter provided us with more than ample supply of provisions and ensured that on arrival we were totally familiar with all aspects of his home. For children there are many activities including bike riding, nature walks and bird watching, ample board games and a good supply of tennis and cricket equipment to use on the well grassed and shaded outside areas. The community pool in Port Pirie is only 15 minutes away. Although the weather was very hot over Christmas the home was very well insulated against the heat and the air conditioning in all rooms was very efficient. We will look forward to another stay in winter.
