A Stay with Potential
The home has great potential and provided us with a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the lake and family time. However, it was not adequately prepared for the 10 adults we booked for. There were not enough beds set up, and the host suggested using mats from a closet or contacting the cleaning lady to help. Moving forward, this home is best suited for 8 guests.
We also experienced issues with the outdoor lights. Despite our efforts to change bulbs and check switches, the problem seemed to be with the sensors, as neither the front nor back lights worked. The host and her husband responded quickly, offering to send someone to fix the lights and providing additional outdoor lights from a box. While their responsiveness was appreciated, it did detract from our overall enjoyment of the home.
Additionally, the home felt cluttered and unkept, contributing to a mold-like smell despite the presence of dehumidifiers on both floors.
In conclusion, with some easy fixes like improving outdoor lighting, reducing clutter, and limiting the number of guests to 8, this home has a lot of potential. The host was fantastic at responding, even while out of the country, and the lake and waterboats were a pleasure to enjoy.
