Above the Waves - unparalleled connection to the sea and nature
Above the Waves is a truly unique, tranquil and relaxing Tasmanian East Coast retreat set up with the comforts of home. With untouched and picturesque views of the ocean, you can nearly touch the waves, couples with the sound of breaking waves, it really is the most idyllic ocean retreat for a single or couple. It is a place to relax, reflect, and reconnect with the sea and nature. I feel fortunate to live in this special place and I look forward this private retreat with other like-minded people. Falmouth is the first coastal settlement on the East Coast and is now a small village with a beautiful lagoon, surf beach and coastal walking track to enjoy.

We had a relaxing, peaceful, very private and comfortable stay.Everything we needed was provided. The ambience was special and the view out over the sea rolling in was mesmerising.Weather was wild and wet but did not detract from our stay.Close to coastal towns and other beaches for day trips. Was concerned about composting toilet however it was excellent, well maintained and no odour at all.A great place for a short break.Thank you Liz.Tess Way
The property was perfect for our needs. The view was spectacular. We had a storm for most of the day but still enjoyed watching the ocean from the windows. The property was very clean with lots of homey touches which made our stay very comfortable.
A beautiful location that is really a hidden gem on the coast. Loved the laid back simplicity of the shack - for solitude and relaxation you couldn't ask for more.
Amazing location for a quiet stay above the ocean. Inspiration place for writers, artists and photographers and or a beautiful retreat and location for some needed rest and watching the waves, ocean therapy.
The ocean is the star here. The cottage is neat, clean, well appointed. Didn’t know about the composting toilet but we managed it. Overall this accomodation was a highlight of our Tasmanian holiday.
Wonderful location and views. Listening to the waves of the ocean as you fall asleep just perfect. The road the property is on is in two parts and we didn't realize that, but Liz was great and explained we needed to use google maps and use the house number as we only put the road in. We will be back as it was truly just what we needed.
What a lovely cottage to relax by the ocean. Very peaceful space, nice comfy bed, nicely furnished and love the vintage stove! Uninterrupted views of the ocean, you couldn't ask for better. Easy walk along the path to access the beach, or you can clamber over the rocks. Will definitely stay again. Dog friendly is a bonus. Thank you, Elizabeth for letting your abode. Regards J n W n H

A bit of a shame …but beautiful location
The septic toilet was a surprise and I feel should have been mentioned in the property listing. This probably wouldn’t have mattered so much if there were not so many little flies around the place. I’m not sure if they were present because of the toilet.
A fly swat was provided on the table and 2 cans of fly sprays were provided in the cupboard.
A little more cleaning and a little carton of milk would have been nice.
Location was absolutely perfect and checking in emails and communication regarding checking in was great.
