Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright protegés, Kelly Oliver and David George, this home is just 10 minutes south of DFW airport and is perfect for business or leisure. With mind-blowing access to all sporting venues including The Dallas Cowboys, The Texas Rangers, Lone Star Park and all of downtown Dallas and Fort Worth, Whispering Woodz is central to all the DFW metroplex has to offer. In addition, the home is close to the Trinity Rail Express Stop which will drop you off at American Airlines Center for all Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks games in just 13 min. or Downtown Fort Worth in about the same time.

Built in 1973, this far-out mid-century home has been completely restored and updated. Whispering Woodz is a sophisticated private executive retreat perfect for guests who seek exclusive accommodations. The 2000 square foot home has two cool bedrooms, two baths and comfortably sleeps four. It is equipped with a gourmet kitchen accompanied by separate breakfast and dining areas. A large living room, complete with a circular bar provides inspiration for entertaining. Perfect for family reunions and/or a place to bring everyone together. A cozy library with a double sided fireplace offers a great place to get away and read a book. From the living room, guests can enjoy looking thru the atrium onto the 3500 square foot courtyard featuring a geometric swimming pool and lush landscaping. One of a kind!

Very quirky and unusual house. Something interesting and new around every corner. Hosts were very easy to deal with and granted our every request. The decor was a trip back in time to when style mattered.

Girls Trip

This is a really fun house! Communication with Nancy and Tom was outstanding. They were very accommodating! The guesthouse is well stocked, very comfortable and decor is fun! Both bathrooms are very nice and have been completely updated! Outdoor pool area is great for atmosphere even if it’s too cool to swim. Thank you for such a fun getaway!

This is a guest house connected to the main house. Nancy and Tim are exactly what the world needs more of, kindhearted people. I didn't want to leave! This was my first time at this property and I will return. If you don't book this property, you're missing out on a great opportunity!!!!

Phenomenal!

This house is an absolute gem. We had such a fun time exploring it and enjoying the gorgeous views. Tom and Nancy are exceptional hosts; they made us feel welcome and took great care of us. The house is immaculately clean and has everything you need. There are so many well thought out details throughout the space be it the art, the rugs, the seating, the decor and of course the amazing patio and pool. Do not miss out on staying here. OH. MY. GOD!

What a wonderful...WONDERFUL stay! We needed to get out of our house and this is indeed a hidden gem in the middle of Irving. Believe EVERY review you've read about this place. Nancy and Tom were amazing hosts, the place was private and large. The kitchen was amazing. Nancy was VERY responsive to anything I needed. Phenomenal history of the house too. Yes, I used caps in this review because it was that wonderful. Don't wait, do it now!

A much needed escape!

This property was so much more than advertised! It was a true oasis in the heart of DFW! Even the amazing pictures do not do this property justice. The upgrades throughout were amazing. With a Chef-Style kitchen and bar area, we were able to produce restaurant level dishes on our own. But the best part was the pool. I am pretty sure that we spent close to 50% of our entire stay in this heavenly oasis. Tom and Nancy were by far, top-notch hosts and made us feel welcome and like family! We will be back soon!

An oasis in the middle of the city

A one-of-a-kind property, with a unique history, and exceptional hospitality, cooperation, and communication from owners—Nancy and Tom. As two couples, the accommodations provided individual rooms with attached baths and independent thermostats. Met Nancy upon arrival and received an orientation to the unique facilities. Owners were present, but inconspicuous, and provided rapid responses to any inquiries and requests. The location provides a secluded tropical atmosphere with access to all of the advantages of close proximity to either Dallas or Fort Worth. We use several VRBO properties every year and this one ranks among the most exceptional. We would highly recommend Whispering Woodz and Nancy & Tom.

Really neat property

Charming Oasis

Gorgeous guest house! Loved the bathrooms. I appreciated the overall layout. The pool/courtyard area was very serene. Tom is quite accommodating and super responsive. A truly pleasant stay.

Great property

This home is on a huge wooded lot. The owners live in one half of the house and the rental property is other half. However, it is still very private and I hardly saw the owners. The decor what you see in the photos...either your taste or not. Nice stay in this unique property.

Home was beautiful. We had a quick girls trip home was perfect. Pool was nice and had plenty of shade. Homeowners were very nice. They do live on the other side of the house just FYI.

Family Fun...Awesome!

The property is great! It brings the pictures to life. Very clean and spacious. We had plenty to do with the amazing pool and the board games for entertainment. We actually forgot about our electronic devices for several hours...we loved it! My family is still talking about how much fun they had there. Thanks Tom and Nancy you guys are wonderful!

Secluded retreat

Tom and Nancy are the best hosts! This property is like your own little resort tucked away so that you feel away from everything. We wanted to get away and recharge for a few days - we spend a ton of time at the pool, cooking meals in the amazing kitchen, and exploring dining options via delivery. Nancy was extremely responsive from the beginning to any questions about we had. Simply put - this house is wonderful and with it being ‘tucked away’’ in the Woods. We hope to be back very soon!

Loved our stay!

We loved our stay! We came to town to see the Dallas game and this was an awesome place for the 3 of us who came. There was enough room for us to spread out while we were in the house and hang out at the same time. The owners are amazing! Offered to pick us up from the airport and everything! When we arrived they had snacks and drinks in the house for us! The house was extremely clean and they were definitely prepared for everything! The only thing I will say is that this is a Guest House. That was a little bit of surprise to us. I re read the listing a couple times and did not see where it was listed as a guest house and it reads to me that it is a private estate. So I would suggest editing that. This is a really nice guest home, it is however connected to the main house in a "compound" style way which is an extremely cool concept but it would have been nice to know ahead of time. Overall! Definitely a place I would recommend for a small group or even 2 couples. Great accommodations and the owners are absolutely amazing.!
