Exactly what I needed

I ended up in Austin during a weekend with a ton of events. Hotels were fully booked and charging 3-4 times normal rates. This apartment gave me a place to sleep and keep my stuff and was exactly what I needed. The bathroom has pristine new features and the place was spotless. Nothing fancy but exactly what I needed and U’m grateful to have found it.

I guess you get what you pay for?

First of all, The host never contacted me before the trip. Getting in touch with the host required me to call Vrbo customer service, who then gave me two phone numbers for the host. one number went straight to voicemail. Once I finally got in touch with them communication improved. As for the property: The place was dirty. It could be a decent place if they would just give it a good scrubbing and a new coat of paint. All surfaces were grimy: grimy door handles, grimy walls, and even grimy toilet paper. The towels were okay but old and bleach-stained. The mattress was tolerable, but not great. sheets were stained as well. The location was good and about 10 to fifteen minutes from everywhere we needed to go. If you're not picky and used to staying in Anime themed youth hostels, this might be okay for you. Otherwise, spend another hundred bucks and go for a step or two or three up.
