A great time in a really picturesque location. Met the host, who was extremely nice and helpful. Amenities were great. Air conditioning as well. Will return for sure.
This stay was a great relaxing experience. Steve, the host, and his wife were great to meet and very accommodating. The cabin was very cozy and right next to the river. It was awesome to walk out the back door and go fishing (and catching) a few feet away. The cabin was supplied with nearly all accommodations we needed for the stay. Will definitely be back.
We sought a quiet weekend to be still and refill our cup. We were void of cell phones, electronics and enjoyed the simple joys and beauty our God created. Very restoring.
This is as close to paradise as you can get in Montana. The setting, along the spectacular Stillwater river, is perfect in every way. Sitting on the porch by the river in the morning is heavenly. There's always lots of chattering birds and the occasional eagle and hawk. The host, Steve, is both kind and helpful. The house itself is completely outfitted with everything one could possibly need. We love it so much we try and stay every time we're in the Absarokee area.
This is a lovely well-equipped cabin right on the Stillwater River. We watched eagles from the porch during the mornings and enjoyed VHS videos in the evening. It is only 20 minutes from the Tippet Rise Art Center and not far from either Absarokee or Nye. The owner lives next door and has a large and amusing white cat. Highly recommended.
It is obvious Steve cares about his cabin and customers.
Everything was great, we left there wanting nothing but to return. Steve is a tremendous host with a great facility. Very comfortable and easy to stay. Can't say enough, saw other vrbo's in the area while visiting other relatives that also attended our family reunion, we certainly were the winners! Thanks Steve!
Lovely place nestled along the Stillwater River. The back patio/deck area was a great place to relax with family and listen to the river. It was high and roaring, but a lovely back drop to this cozy cabin.
The cabin had everything we needed and was in a great location, away from the hustle and bustle of people but close enough to several places for things to do. Hosts were phenomenal and easy to communicate with. We would absolutely stay here again!
The property was far more comfortable than even hoped for…very homily and comfortably equipped; basic kitchen needs more than adequately provided. Host was very friendly and sociable without being at all intrusive. A bonus was he shared our passion for fishing and was extremely helpful in enhancing our fishing experience. Six stars out of a possible five
Steve is a great host and was very accommodating. The property is in a great location with the river right down the steps. Cabin had everything we needed and more. The back porch is a great place to unwind. Fishtail General store is worth the stop, they have anything you need. Absorkee is right down the road and a quaint little community w/multiple bars & restaurants. We will likely stay again in the future.
Thanks Steve
What a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature...we had a lot of snow, so no hiking this time, but want to return and enjoy the surrounding area as well...owner kept our snow cleared, and was such a pleasure to meet.
We love this place. Quiet, relaxing and close to some great hikes in one of the most beautiful places.

Perfect fishing getaway
Cozy, quiet, comfortable, well-supplied cabin right on the Stillwater river. Close to nice fishing access sites. Owner is helpful and prepared for any details a guest may need. If we don't go camping in the Beartooth Mountains, we'll come back with our kids next time and stay here!
