Wow wow

Grandeur of this estate is unbelievable, majestic house is hidden by trees & very private. When house comes into view down long driveway, it is truely beautiful & you wonder if you’re visiting USA Deep South. The house provides everything you could possibly need and want. Thoughtful touches by the owner, with kitchen that is well equiped, with full size + fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine. 2 x Full size dining tables inside and out, that is in fully enclosed verandah with view of the river. The hosts have thought of everything you could possibly need, all bedrooms have queen beds, easy access to upstairs verandah, wood fire in dining room/kitchen. Huge lawn area with lots different seating options scattered around the garden & double kayak. We had wonderful time with our friends, layout of the house has multiple entertainment rooms, gorgeous verandah wraps around the house, provides lots of space for everyone. Downstairs and upstairs large TVs with streaming channels if required. This property is one of the most unique properties we have ever stayed in & provides everything you could possibly need for a truely amazing experience. Communication by our host Susan was excellent, very helpful & when we needed clarification on wifi access, we received an immediate response, nothing was to much trouble. Thank you for such a wonderful experience & truely memorable time at the exquisite Pental Island River Retreat. Highly recommended.

Beautiful property

House was immaculate and clean, lovely little touches throughout the house. Stunning house. We booked for our wedding and it was perfect! Owner was wonderful to deal with and quick to respond to any queries and we had a great stay. Thanks!

Exquisite Country Oasis

When we walked in the doors it was like entering another time and place! Absolute attention to detail in this 5 star immaculate country getaway with gorgeous furnishings and décor. It was so easy to unwind sipping sparkling wine in the jacuzzi, swinging in the seat watching the birds on the top deck, sinking into the soft beds and sleeping in in the morning, watching the bright stars at night, and gazing at the beautiful river with relaxing BBQ dinners. The outdoor enclosed deck was perfect for our daughter drawing in the morning sun, the boys loved the table tennis. Susan was a wonderfully attentive host giving us the perfect balance of care and space. The kitchen was magnificent and generously equipped with high quality appliances. This was truly everything we had hoped for in a country oasis to rejuvenate as a family... our teenagers loved it as much as we did! We highly recommend for couples or families.

Everything you need for a relaxing break

The pictures do not do this beautiful holiday location justice. The home is grand and spotless, with high end appliances and everything you need thoughtfully supplied. The property is huge, super quiet with lovely surrounding flora and fauna. Thank you Susan for a wonderful stay, we can’t wait to return.

THE place to stay in Swan Hill /Pental Island

The property is exceptionally clean and spacious. It is exactly as per the photos on the website. It made our 5 day stay so enjoyable. Susan was excellent to communicate with - she responded very quickly to any queries we had. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property

Blissful Country Getaway

Our family enjoyed such a beautiful and relaxing time at this gorgeous Pental Island property. The home was warm, cosy and super inviting, with an abundance of nature for the kids to explore. Between the fishing, spa, canooing, marshmellow roasting, cabinet of books, wandering and tennis equipment there was never a dull moment. Only a short 10 minute drive into town made it very easy to stock up on essentials and quickly return to the quite, country serenity of Pental Island. The hosts were so kind and accommodating, we felt very looked after. We are very much looking forward to our next stay at this stunning location!

Five Star Retreat

Lovely country homestead which is well suited for a large family that love family time together. Fishing, flying your kite, tennis, canoeing, or kicking a ball on the grass. The home is very tidy and well presented with lots of high grade appliances (so don’t take yours with you) Spa and lovely netted bug free area outside to pass away the evening on the banks of the little Murray. Highly Recommend!

Amazing weekend at Pentland Island Retreat

What can I say? We had a fantastic weekend staying in this beautiful house. The house was incredibly clean, the owner has put a lot of thought and care into what guests would need/like. The beds were really comfortable, and the kitchen had every possible appliance you could need. Next time I will be bringing ingredients for baking! The owner kept in contact to make sure we had everything we needed. We took advantage of the kayak provided and gave it a go, which was great fun. All in all, would heartily recommend this beautiful property. We will be going back soon!!!

Amazing property and great getaway!

Fabulous house ‘in the middle of nowhere’ but only 15 minutes to Swan Hill. Magnificent large 5 bedrooms and fantastic amenities. Communication with Susan, Manager, was easy and she was prompt with any enquiries. Would definitely recommend this property.

A perfect getaway

We had a fantastic stay at the property. Susan was so easy to communicate with and accommodating for our group of friends who needed a long weekend away. She is so friendly and great at communicating with you. There are now 5 Bedrooms each with a queen bed, plus 2 extra Queen beds on the upstairs landing area. So heaps of space for our large group. Of note is the great supplies of kitchen gadgets, equipment and all the things you need to cook literally anything! It was so lovely to have a fire and enjoy the peace and quite this location provided. A perfect getaway.

Magnificent By The Riverside

Outstanding property and beautifully kept grounds. This home is spacious, immaculately clean and lovely furnishings. Wonderful, peaceful river views, especially from the verandah’s. We enjoyed great nights, grilling in the outdoor alfresco room. Slept in wonderful comfy beds, woke feeling relaxed to the sounds of birds. Stunning views to the countryside and river. The hot spa was sparkling clean and we also enjoyed a kayak along the River. A short drive into Swan Hill town as suggested and enjoyed the best Thai food we’d ever had. A holiday on the river, indoors and out, all perfect, wishing it was longer. Everyone agreed, one of the best properties that we have stayed in. Thank you for making our getaway so enjoyable. We look forward to returning to this beautiful property.

The River Mansion

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the "river mansion". The house was spacious and lovely, we especially enjoyed having an indoor log fire. The bed was comfy and the shower had ample & even flow. It's a very large property, so our dog Huxley, really enjoyed himself. He loved running through the wet grass and even jumped into the river at one point. We enjoyed the jacuzzi one wet afternoon and your only a 10min drive into town. Some mod cons like a DVD player & Wi Fi would have been handy, as our connectivity/reception wasn't great. The owner, Susan, is absolutely lovely and I strongly encourage sending her a message or giving her a call so she can help you with your booking before completing it online. We look forward to returning with friends in the warmer months.

Family get away

A palace in the Mallee
