Large front and rear yards, fully fenced. Plenty of room for off- street parking and storing the boat.
Outdoor shower for rinsing off sand from the beach, outdoor sink for cleaning the catch of the day.
Alfresco entertaining for barbecue dinner and drinks.

Guests are required to bring their own towels and linen. (Sheets, pillow cases and doona covers.) We do not provide these items.

Doonas and pillows are provided.

We ask that dogs not be allowed on the furniture and guests bring their own pet bedding.

From booking to leaving, Nelson’s Rest was a great experience. A great house, location wonderful, close to everything we needed, no car required for the three days we were there. Scott was a great communicator. The house is fully equipped with conveniences. Beds super comfy. We will be back 100%.

A well equipped house with lots of living zone options. Not to mention the secure garden for any kids, vehicles or your furry friends. Would rent again without any hesitation.

Nelson’s Rest Beach House

Our family enjoyed our stay at Nelson’s Rest. It was clean and well equipped. Great spot, short walk to the beach. Securely fenced so our dog could enjoy a holiday too. Highly reccommend.

Cowes holiday

Great family and dog friendly house in good location, across the road from the beach and easy walk to town. Very neat and clean with huge yard for the dog. Would definately stay again.

Great holiday spot!

Spacious 3 bedroom house with handy features- walk-in pantry, 2 toilets, outside shower & sink, back verandah, fully enclosed yard for our dogs. Highly recommend for families and pets.

Wonderful family holiday

This property felt like a home as soon as we walked through the door. It was light clean and it had a lovely warm & inviting feeling about it. As a young family this house was fabulous. A big front & back yard for the kids (& fur child) and it’s location was fantastic...Each day we enjoyed a walk into town. Scott was quick and easy to communicate with. We’d love to stay again. Second time at the Beach house

This is our second stay at Nelson's Rest Beach House and will happily stay here again. The property is big enough to house the whole family, plenty of room for everyone to spread out and do there own thing then have a BBQ or dinner on the deck. Secure parking behind locked gates is great for bikes on trailers. Great location - close enough to walk, but far away that its not too noisy from main st. Highly recommend staying at Nelson's Rest Beach House.

A great pet friendly location.

We loved this house being so close to the beach and not too far from Cowes CBD. The yard is great for dogs and there is plenty to like about the house itself. Plenty of comfort and things for all ages to do with a well stocked bookshelf and toys for kids. Would revisit in the future.

Absolute Stunner

My partner myself our 5 children and 2 dogs stayed here for 4 days. Very close to everything. The yard size was wonderful for the dogs to run around. The books and games selection at the house were a winner with the kids and myself. Super clean and cosy. I cant wait to revisit. Thank You for having us.

Wonderful stay. The property exceeded all expectations. The bonus dog door was just like home.

The property is perfect for families who travel with their fluffy children. Our girls (spoodles) were able to enjoy the front and rear yard with the added bonus of going in and out of the dog door just like home. As for comfort, we could not believe the bed mattress......so beautiful and much better than most 5 star hotels. Secure off Street parking was also much appreciated.

A wonderful place to stay. Quality family time in a lovely home.

My family had a wonderful time at this property. We booked it for 7 nights and it was a great escape from the hustle and bustle. The host, Scott was very helpful and responsive and for that we are very grateful. The location is ideal for families. Close to the township and beach. We loved being able to take our small dogs to the beach in a short stroll (after 5pm). Beds were very comfortable, kitchen well stocked and the outdoor entertaining bbq was particularly enjoyed. Thank you and we hope to visit again.

Great location

We stayed over Christmas and new year with our dog. Place was in a great spot- only a short walk to shops and a very short walk to the beach. Very clean and well presented house. Well fenced yard and very private backyard. Outdoor shower was a winner!

Bright and cosy, walking distance to everything

We spent 4 nights here over the Easter break. The house is well maintained and was lovely and clean upon arrival. The owner was a pleasure to deal with. The house is located an easy walk from the main street of Cowes, along with the beach and general store. The only negative we found was that the road was incredibly busy and loud- especially at night, but it probably wouldn’t be such an issue during off-peak times.

Why would you buy a beach house when you can stay here?

Awesome place, very close to the beach and shops. Having the caravan park over the road can get a little noisy with public holidays and people walking home but this will happen all over Cowes in busy periods. Everything you would want from a holiday house; plenty of room for the dog to run laps around the property. BBQ with a good outdoor area for a night in and plenty of books/dvds to relax and unwind. Highly recommend and will be back for my next track day.
