This property was so whimsical and fun that we would totally stay again. We came for a soccer tournament. My 4 kids loved exploring all the nooks and hidden corners! There was a kind sized bed that my husband, myself, and our 4 year old slept in, two twin beds in the top room, and two full sized pull out couches. Every room is on a different level. The moose head added a wonky charm! We loved the fireplace! This by far has been one of the most fun and charming places that we've stayed!! We will book again next year for this tournament!!
This quirky cabin is so unique and interesting that it’s almost a destination in itself. It’s located in a beautiful area with nearby trails that offer wonderful views. The interior of the cabin is comfortable with much more room to gather than you realize from the listing.
We really enjoyed our stay. This is a unique place to stay for sure, but the house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with what you need. Two negatives: there is a picture of a white neighboring house associated with the listing when you look at location, and the gravel part of the road could really use some repair. If we did not have a truck to navigate the snow we got while we were there, it could have been a real problem. We would stay here again.
Big beautiful home with coutry downhome feeling. Very spacious large decks many entry and exits. Scenere is definitely outdoor woodesy. Very functional with all accommodations. Will be back hopefuly longer visit next time.
We had a fun family vacation here. The cabin was fun and in a great location (30 mins to downtown St. Louis and 5 minutes from a state park with fun hiking.)
There were 2 negatives, but the structure of the house made you forget them. Outside could be trimmed up better, seemed a little overgrown and the bedroom you 1st walk into had a little musty smell. The bed was super comfy and there are lots of nook and crannies to explore. I would sray again for sure.
the homethe home.
We enjoyed getting to meet the owner! We had a few mishaps while there (none of which were his fault) and he was very willing to help us.
We would definitely go back!
This cabin like home has so much charm. It was almost whimsical. It was sort of tricky to find but worth it. Hidden away from the buzz of the city and still close. Loads of steps throughout so might not be good for someone who can’t do steps. Fun for our family.
Nice place, lots of rooms! Loved the location. Only suggestion is more curtains to help with a bit of privacy when changing clothes. 😊
Loved the moose!!!
Perfect location for what we planned. Poor communication between booking and check in procedures but quick response when the power went out in the area. Will be back again next year.
The cabin was much bigger then expected, its kind of quirky but cute, overall the cabin was fine for our family of 8 to stay but it would have been nice had the listing noted 4 of the 8 sleeping area were hideabed couchs with thin foam mattress. There are alot of stairs in this cabin so i would say for anyone older or with physical limitations maybe not a good idea. My MIL is 79 and the stairs were a bit hard on her and shes in pretty good shape for her age. The other thing was alot of the windows do not have coverings on them and did not lock. The host was very responsive the day of ck in and even came by and gave us more towels and sheets as there wasnt enough left out for our stay. He was vety nice. We had a fun family weekend speending time together and thats really what it was all about. Was the cabin perfect, no it wasnt but it was ok for us and we are thankful for our time together.
The cabin was amazing. Wasn’t quite prepared for all the stairs it made it very unique. Loved all the characters that the house has. We will most likely be back.
We were in town dealing with family issues, the properties proximity to nature & to town was aweso…
The only thing I would say is this property is not handicap accessible, so if you have issues with stairs this is not the place for you… Otherwise ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ across the board… Would definitely recommend and stay again…

Not a cabin
It’s not a cabin. Lots of stairs, lots of exterior doors. Had a musty smell that was difficult to get used to.
Was ok for the purpose we used it for. 4 guys going to Metallica concert. Probably wouldn’t be great for a family trip.
Perfect location for our Six Flags stay! Large cabin for the money, many rooms. Well stocked. Def back in the woods. Almost 5 stars....the only two downsides are the fire pit area is completely overgrown and not usable (we were looking forward to this amenity) and there is no driveway. It's a muddy hill that has washed away. I damaged my car driving up to cabin. You'd be okay if you have a SUV. These two things are easy fixes.
Couldn't find the river for float trip as mentioned in listing. We asked someone local and they said there is no floating on this river? Not sure ...
Otherwise great host, great spot. I would stay again if the driveway was added. Deer were hanging out just outside the door when we woke! :)

The Cabin is Quirky but the host is Rude
The cabin is fun but has several quirks that would have been nice to know about before booking. Like the main door into the cabin going through the primary bedroom, all the levels from room to room, or the lack of latching or locking doors into any room.
Those things could be lived with but I reached out apologetically when our plans changed and the host was rude.

Overbearing owner
Inside of property was nice. The outside areas are not kept up and very overgrown. Off a rock road that is not the easiest to navigate.
Owner is very much in the your business and tries to con people out of money with extra charges when you leave. Won’t ever come back.
We were obviously bummed that the Cardinal bs Yankee game we traveled to see was postponed, but thanks to this fantastic property our group still had a great time and a relaxing evening! We had a couple groups who stayed in hotels downtown that left the stadium and went to bed to complete their wasted experience, while we came back to the Vrbo, and just spent time hanging out in the different and awesome gathering areas in the super unique layout - drinks under the moose, a fire (not really because we didn’t start one, but the dormant hearth was good enough for June) and some tobacco pipes on the deck under the stars. Topped off with a great comfortable nights sleep for the whole crew. Would love to come back again and highly recommend the property and manager!
