Prior to booking Degen Estate, first confirm your reasons for wanting to stay. Any reasons, other than holiday accommodation, for example birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, functions, corporate events, retreats and reunions are not permitted without specific owner approval prior to you booking being accepted.
Located high above the surrounding vineyards with sweeping views across the Brokenback Range, the 54 acre estate of Degen Wines is privately set in the beating heart of the Hunter Valley wine country.
Degen Estate features designer interiors throughout the large open-plan house, with five bedrooms as well as two self-contained cottages, each with two bedrooms. The Estate offers 9 spacious bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms comfortably accommodating up to 20 guests.
The main house directly overlooks the vineyard of Degen Wines and is set amongst manicured lawns, an established fruit orchard and native trees. Perfect for entertaining, enjoy the wide paved verandahs, BBQ area and travertine pool terrace which leads to the stunning swimming pool. On the western side, the inviting Summer House with its deep lounges and its’ own private deck is perfect for watching the beautiful sunsets. The living room features comfortable leather lounges and is perfect for relaxing with a book or watching your favourite film on the widescreen TV. The fully equipped contemporary galley-style kitchen has European appliances, stone benchtops and everything you would need to cater for your large group. The huge custom-made 4.5m long dining table dominates the room and brings everyone together making every meal a special occasion.
The accompanying self-contained cottages each have two bedrooms and feature luxury bedding, a modern bathroom, kitchen and open living space spilling out to an open verandah with BBQ and private views of the vineyards.
You will only be moments to surrounding vineyards and concert venues such as Bimbadgen Estate and Hope Estate, The Vintage Golf Resort and within five minutes of the Hunter Expressway.
Your first wine tasting of course is just a short walk away at the charming cellar door of Degen Wines.

Please note, Degen Estate has exterior security cameras to monitor the exterior of the home only for the protection of the property. Security cameras are commonplace at many of our rural properties. Footage is private and remains the property of the owner, and will only be used for insurance liability reasons, to monitor occupancy and other policies noted in our Terms & Conditions. They, in no way, are there to infringe upon the expectation of privacy of guests in these exterior areas. To disable or obscure the cameras is prohibited and may result in loss of security deposit or eviction.

TARIFF
Weekend - minimum 2 nights, for up to 18 guests is $2,849 per night (Use of house and two cottages - 9 bedrooms) (Thu-Fri, Fri-Sat, or Sat-Sun)
Midweek - minimum 2 nights, for up to 18 guests is $2,137 per night (Use of house and two cottages - 9 bedrooms) (Mon-Tues-Wed)
Additional adults above the minimum of 18 are charged at $106 per person per night.
Additional children above the minimum of 18 are charged at $64 per child per night.
Infants under 2 years free of charge
Please note that a $40 booking fee is applicable for all bookings made.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit/bond of $2000.00 is required for your stay and is payable as a credit card pre- authorisation. This will be processed approximately 24 - 48 hours before your arrival, so please ensure the funds are available at this time.

NOTES
A 1-night stay may be accepted at discretion of Management within 14 days of the prospective arrival date. A surcharge is applicable on the 1-night stay, this will be calculated by our staff and quoted to you before the booking is confirmed.
Weekend Public Holiday, Easter, Christmas, and New Year periods require a minimum 3 night stay full weekend rate.
Concert and special event weekends in the Hunter Valley will have a set minimum night requirement to stay and may attract a surcharge.
