We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was roomy and had everything we needed to accommodate 11 of us. We were able to cook, walk downtown and use the fire pit. The TV options and other amenities were much appreciated. Super clean house and excellent communication form the host. We’d love to come back again!
The house was perfect for our needs. Host was fantastic. Location walking distance to downtown. Restaurants and bars was also a plus. Will rent this property again in the future.
The house was charming and worked great for our get-together of family members age 19 to 89. Be prepared for the quirks of a >100-year-old house and enjoy having space to spread out or to gather for a meal, a movie, or time relaxing on the front porch. The best part was the easy walk to all the shops, restaurants, and bars in historic Deland. Thank you, Chris, for being a great host and making this cool house such a terrific place for our holiday!
Great location, very close to main street deland. Minutes to daytona beach, ormond beach, etc. Home nicely appointed. Great wifi and tv service, rooms comfortable. Beds nice too. Kitchen had most of the items needed to cook but a couple of the pans were a bit tired and could maybe be replaced. Quiet street. Nice area to walk around as well. Staying again!
The property is as depicted. the neighborhood is spotted with older in need of attention homes and some newly renovated, The location is very convenient to the main street, but sits back so it is very peaceful. Lots of amenities! Very well stocked and very very clean. Chris is very responsive--would definitely recommend this host/property and would stay again.
First I want to mention that the landlords are very responsive and nice. It is an old house and therefore the things to improve might be limited by law.We liked- the parking next to the house- the charming look of the house- a big table for all of us to eat togetherThe beds were semi-comfortable. For a house that offers space for 8 people the kitchen wasn‘t well equipped. The bathrooms are typical for an old house, very small and especially two of the three showers are tiny.If you travel with a dog ne aware that the backyard is not fenced.3*** out of 5 stars because of the poorly equipped kitchen and the house needs a little touch up here and there.
Older property. Well kept and comfortable. Very clean. Great for a larger group to get together. There were ten adults and we all had a good bed and nice areas to gather. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed the neighborhood, it was nice and quiet. There are plenty of conveniences very close, the house is spacious and as described.
Thank you, we enjoyed the stay!
The house was perfect for our needs. It is an old house so of course there were minor issues, but I would definitely stay there again. The owners were very easy to contact and quick to reply. Plenty of parking on the gravel driveway and side parking area. Owner made access to the shed for us to use which was awesome. It is within walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. The property is motorcycle friendly, but one neighborhood not so much. All in all a great place to stay. Can't beat the price for the size, location and cleanliness of the property.

Great location
Convenient to restaurants and shops. Plenty of space.
Charming, spacious, very clean home, close to downtown- walking distance, great host- this served as our home for an 80th birthday weekend celebration with siblings gathered from around the country - the off street spacious parking was a huge plus for all of us -coming from various places and times. We all loved the home and would rent again. Thank you Chris
This property was perfect for our purposes. My daughter was married in New Smyrna Beach, and we rented this place to serve as our wedding headquarters. It was large enough that we were able to spread out so each one had his or her own space to work, baking wedding cakes, flower arranging, and everything else we had to do to prepare for the big day. The house was pleasant, the neighborhood peaceful, and our stay wonderful. The town was pleasant too, but we were unable to do much exploring because of wedding prep. But I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.
We enjoyed our stay at this home. It easily fit the nine of us for the weekend. While this is a nice home and is well-kept, the other homes in the neighborhood are rather run-down. It is a short walk to the downtown area for dinner and breakfast.

About the host
Hosted by Chris
Chris is the owner of Levings Residential Resources, a small real estate renovation and rental company. He and his wife are both graduates of the University of Florida and lived in metro Atlanta for six years. They moved back to Deland in 2013 after they had their first daughter to be closer to family. This is Chris' first furnished, short term rental.
Why they chose this property
Location, location, location. It's so nice to be able to walk off of the front porch and be at any downtown Deland restaurant or bar in under five minutes, while still being on a quiet side street.
What makes this property unique
Plenty of space with a second, more casual living area on the third floor. The finishes aren't all high end, but the house was renovated with a focus on function and cleanliness. The house can hold up to ten people without feeling crowded.
